Had a really good time. Glad 'S' didn't go, because I relaxed more, met some new people who were nice, worked on some lyrics for my song (A Britney tribute!) and just enjoyed myself.
'S' may have struggled tonight, as it was all about lyrics tonight, which she would struggle with badly.
Really good fun, which shows I can get to know people, but doesn't explain why I find it so hard with 'S' Flatmate thinks it's because it's a more intimate relationship, getting to know 1 person on a more personal level that I have trouble with  :rolleyes:0 -

Hi Miro,I am another lurker who has decided to post tonight, must be something in the water lol.Glad you had a good time tonight.I think your flat mate is right that you find it harder getting to know someone on a more personal level .I am just the same fine with strangers that i don't"care" about but if its someone i really like i can't seem to get the words out and come across really badly. One thing you have on your side is youth it may get easier for you as you mature and gain more confidance.I am a lost cause,at 49 don't think i am ever going to change.0 -

Welcome geminilady
I definitely find it harder. I really want to get to know 'S', but it does scare me, as I can't do personal relationships (flatmate aside!) and 'S' is very difficult to get close too anyway!
Well, I am 30, which compared to 49 is 'youth' I suppose, although 49 is plenty of time left in the tank, touch wood.
The difference though between 30 and 49, is the kind of relationships. 49 is more mature than 30 generally, so maybe I need to be 49, as less expectations on what I look like0 -
