    amboy,

do you mean if virgin connect you to datastream, that you cannot migrate to another broadband provider that uses ipstream as there service?

which would mean that i would have to pay an activation fee to a new broadband provider that uses ipstream?

    if i cancel with virgin.

Thats exactly what I mean, i really wanted to go to metronet, I was familiar with their good service etc.

whether Virgin connect you to data stream or IP stream, well according to the guy at virgin it is pot luck.

    You may be lucky.

What is the difference between IP-stream and Data-stream?

Do any other ISP's use Data-stream that could be migrated to from Virgin?

Can you not specify to Virgin that you want IP-stream rather than Data-stream?

Hi. I have BT broadband 576khp for £39.99 and want to change to a better deal, though not under 500khhp. Is Virgin the best deal or are ther others?

    Have a look at Metronet.
