Seem to have a sliced packet ham surplus this week. Can't face to waste it and only a limited number of options for use. Can you freeze it? No clues on the packet.
Thanks :TNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Hi mumto2,
no problem, you can freeze ham, I freeze it often. When you defrost it, you shall eat it soon, so it's better to separate the slices you are likely to eat in a meal. If the slices are well separed it defrosts very quickly the time to set the table and it's ok.0 -
Hi Mumto2,
We have an older thread on freezing sliced ham that should help so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the replies together.

Why not!
I freeze gammon steaks etc so why not ham!My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.-Erma Bombeck-~ Member of the MSE Celebdaq Minileague ~0 -
It freezes very well. If you split the pack before you freeze it you can take out how much you need instead of wasting some if you don't want it all at once.0

Yep, no problem freezing packets of ham, we do it at home... I'm still alive and well, so it definately won't do you any harm.0

Yes, we buy packs of ham from Costco, divide them up and freeze and take out and use as we need them!
