  • I was there clapping the 1st customers in, loving the PR guy! It was a fun day, hard work, very very busy with all checkouts open and still queues! but I heard lots of people saying how nice the store was and how amazed they were at the range of stuff we have! Didn't have too many problems in my dept, just some gaps and stock missing!

The new shopping centre opens october 2007 and its 1million sq ft!

  • Excellent! I nipped in yesterday just for a few things & it's massive! A great range of products, better than the old Tesco. I skipped a few departments, clothes, freezers & couple of others because it was just too busy. Spent a half hour or so in the queue as they were way up the aisles but I was really pleased with it.

It's great not having to trail up to Barrhead, my only gripe is that with bags of shopping & a 5 year old, it's not ideal to have to walk a good bit for the bus stop so I didn't buy anything to heavy, however, I did notice this morning that the # 10 bus was going in so that's ideal for me.

I would ask instore if they are running any free buses for a while. I know when they opened our Tesco Extra some years ago now, they ran free buses:)

my god, went on the first day, you would have thought they were giving away free stuff, never seen a shop so busy, it was like christmas eve fighting over the last turkey. Will give it another shot when all the hype has gone, dont know if it will keep me away from asda though!!!
  • Just like to point out those opening hours are incorrect they are for English stores which are not allowed to open as long on Sundays, in Scotland its 24/7
