    9 days til payday

next month will be tight so just minimums on debts
food budget will be £150 but I'm up for the challenge

Have a couple of bits on ebay but nothing massive so only expecting a few quid at most.

didnt cook salmon or spagbol today so will have those tomorrow/saturday

have one item to return which I bought online- should be around £33 refund which will come in handy but won't be able to return this til next week.

have cancelled OHs new charity DD before it had a chance to take anything- he was too polite not to stop and talk to the fundraiser and look what happened! £10 a month is too much. I give £30 a month in all to various charities but my job is permanent!

OH has a temp job for a while which is well paid and challenging, breathing room for a few months which is very welcome. I've done budgets based on weekly and monthly pay and a system is established- OCD much?!

have a few loads of laundry to do but im successfully avoiding them until tomorrow.

I have a tiny tiny hope my DFD could be July instead of August but I'm not focusing too much on it in case things crop up.

So today is a marathon day.

Up early (and now off to wake up OH! not my favourite job) to get shopping done. Have decided to use the £5 off Mr T voucher to take advantage of it and hopefully get another for next week. Next month's shopping budget is £150 for the month so I need as many deals as possible!

Then to garage for water/air in tyres/screenwash etc.

Then sit somewhere nice with coffee- might start with this!

    Then unpack shopping.

    Then pick up my friend

Then OH to his family's- thankfully I can't go!

Then me to my friend's house with my other friend for a good catch up.

    Then home to spagbol

Then aerobics class with friend tonight!

Somewhere in this mammoth schedule I have to do approximately 6 loads of laundry and organise 2 wardrobes!

Have a great day all. 8 days til payday.

Been a while. Not a whole lot to update. 21 days til payday and March payday should- fingers crossed- be the month I'm able to clear my 2 smallest debts and make my first payment to my friend. This will mean I'm clearing over £1100 worth of debt in 3 weeks which seems a crazy amount so I'm triple checking my figures but they look right.

This month is TIGHT. It's my last month like this so I'm just reverting back to old school MSE. The food shop for the week was £25. The only top up I should need will be milk, bread and ham for OH sandwiches at the end of the week.

I need to list on ebay as I have very very limited funds left.

    £110 in bank
    £50 in savings
    £68 refund coming in
£60 refund for flebay items that did not fit- haven't posted these yet and the return address is China!

    Total £288

    This has to cover:

    returning/posting flebay items- £15??
    appointment £60
    petrol £40
    social event £50
    OH travel £75
    OH outgoings £48
    direct debits £8.05

Total- £296.05 so I'm a little short plus need around £30 for groceries. So I have a spare £25 that I can use but i'll have to repay on payday. I want to avoid this if at all possible.

So today I intend to ebay some items for collection only (no p&p) and I'll stick them on gumtree too. I will also have a some petrol money coming my way.

First on the agenda, shower and changed for gym. Stick laundry on then head out. When I return I'll:

    hang up laundry DONE
    put 2nd load on DONE
clean washing up put away DONE
    clean all kitchen surfaces
hoover and wipe down kitchen floor

Then I'll write the next stage of the list!

Busy list! It will be awesome if you can clear those two debts and start paying your friend: just think how good that will feel!
Even if something crops up you are now soooo close :) you'll have it sorted in next to no time.
I'm back on the old-school MSE this week too. We were away for a couple of days and ate out so the food bill got out of control (really we should have left the food money at home and counted meals out as entertainment which is how we usually account for them but it's done now).
Good luck for this month and think how close you are to crossing those two off your list!

hey Miggy, thanks for the encouragement. I've just checked the budget AGAIN and I really think I can do it. NOt only clearing a credit card and store card and making first payment to my friend, I'll also be paying off another friend in full. So 3 things crossed off the list and one started.

I remember the days when I had 6 credit cards, 4 storecards, a personal loan, 2 overdrafts albeit one was small, payday loans and I'm sure the list goes on.

That's so good! It will feel great to put so much behind you!

    Days now long-gone. :)

It's tough but worth it, and I guess the new-found ability not to overspend will mean that one day instead of debts you will have savings. :j That's where I've started to find myself since we overhauled our finances, and I'm reluctant to dip into them even for things we've saved for. :) It gets addictive. :)
