  • I have it on good authority that the napkins used in maccy's are now called crapkins as students steal so many of them for toilet useage.

(please no more ignorant scouse jokes).

I can't help but wonder how much bacteria will be on all this toilet roll after it's been stored in a public toilet for god knows how long.

I wouldn't want to put public toilet loo roll in my handbag as you don't know who has touched it. Imagine having a wee sneeze and then blowing your nose - all that toilet bacteria rubbed all over your face and hands.

There again I'm maybe a bit OCD about it as I won't even touch toilet doors on the way out as you don't know what skitter bugs are hanging out on the door handles.

Oh, to get out of public toilets I use a piece of handtowel to protect my hand, bin that and then apply anti bacteria gel!

Actually, that is really OCD isn't it:o.

I don't think I've ever nicked loo roll from public toilets. Except when I have a cold and think I might need some whilst I'm still out.

I have taken a few more sachets of sauce/milk/sugar.etc than I need to, as they are so handy to take to work for tea as my work place are so tight they only provide the kettle and the water.

I do that, and don't plan to stop, they come in very handy. The only place I don't is IKEA as it would be a bit of a liberty since their tea is free, even without a meal. I wouldn't do it at a small tearoom or a little local place etc either.

    Marleyboy that photo's hilarious! :D

a friend of mine worked for a 'well respected' car assembly plant for about twenty years - after his shift one day his car refused to start, so he fiddled with it got it started and went back to loos to clean up. he took some paper towels out to car to clean up oil etc. on way out he was stopped by security - taken into managers office - and sacked. dismissed on the spot for stealing.
paper towels! unbelievable yes? luckily the Industrial Tribunal agreed. but he was devastated. went into depression and after nearly 15 years hasnt worked. in America he would have a massive payout to compensate - here - oh he had the amount he would have been paid to date of tribunal. huh. so he pinched a bit of paper which would have been binned anyway - as the tribunal guy said. so why dont the dispensers only allow a certain amount? say a yard? thats enough surely?

I have to raise my hand up and admit i have done this when i was a student. There's were weeks when i couldn't afford to eat, so did one a few occasions nick some bog rol from the pub toilets. :(

Thankfully now i can afford it...

If I couldn't afford loo roll, I don't think I'd be brave enough to put my hands up to it!

we are lucky at work if we have any bog roll, let alone hand wipes and i work for the ruddy local authority! sometimes its rediculous the supplies we dont get yet they ensure the public toilets in reception are well stocked.

but then we have dirty barstewards who are staff as public cant get access to work areas unless they have a swipe car who poo on the floor, wipe poo on the walls, spit on the floor or toilet seat, scratch grafitti in the doors, wee on the floor, spitting on the door handles [though this has stopped after warning went out company wide that unless it stopped we would be supervised on using the bogs], bogies on walls....its disgusting. and to look at the workforce every seems so respectable. te mind boggles.

You saved money by going to the pub (!!!) and stealing toilet roll (why were you down the pub if you had no money for food!)

Because it saved on the heating.
No seriously, it was because we had usually spent the food money on beer the night before.
    It's all down to priorities.
