Havent been on for a few days so just a quick update. SOA all done and direct debits ticking over. Will update sig once Credit card bill has been paid. Food all bought and only a couple of little pressies to buy and after that we have £160 left over to last us till the end of the month. Going out with some friends next week so that should be about £30ish for all of us but think we need a treat. We have managed to save £120 this month so am hoping not to have to dip into this. Will try and get another 2 extra days in this month if poss which should help during Jan which is such a lonnnnnggggg month. Hope everyone is ok - thank god schools are back today lol x:jNov 2012 - Loan £1200, CC1 £1450

Hi all - hope your not too fed up with the snow - I am sick of it and dread to think of how much heating we are using.
Really skint this month we tranferred some money from the savings to pay for tickets to the threatre for us all - which is naughty - but a big treat and as people say life is for living and we have done some overtime this month so money can go back at pay day.
Took little one into town today to see santa £3 she quite liked him but was a little shy. Other than that just trying to catch up on housework and start getting toys and kids rooms squared up for xmas. Which is easier said than done when they keep messing them up or pulling more stuff out!
Only got a couple of xmas pressies to get and going to post cards this weekend - its been so cold so I cant get motivated to go and deliver them all - I am soooo soft lol.
Not much else on the debt front - we are continuing to make little dents then in April once savings bumped up can start throwing more at them.
I am going to try and paid an extra £8 off credit card this weekend so total will be under 2700 yey! Have a good weekend all!

Thanks beanie - had a fab night and kids really enjoyed it!
DH just opening our sealed tin and doing a count up now as the money s earmarked for a night out next week - but am worrying now as I can see lots of copper:(.
Had a busy day seem to spend so much time washing, drying and ironing at the mo it really is neverending and not the most exciting of jobs.
When kids out tomorrow I need to mop all floors and I am going to open all the windows and air out the whole house even though I really hate the cold - it needs doing.
We are pretty much skint now for the month, enough for basics and I think we may tip into the overdraft slightly. So am going to try and be really good and not spend anything. MIL very kindly said she would give us money for christmas to help us get by which is really kind. We are so lucky with both sets of parents they are very generous and we wouldnt manage without them:A.
Havent done a meal planner this week but have lots in the freezer so will have a proper look tomorrow. Hope everyone has had a good weekend my lot have driven me round the bend thank goodness its back to school tomorrow:D

In the tin big drumroll please was ..................................£16
yes £16 measly quid - arrgggghhhhy last time we had £60 in it so can you imagine how disappointed I was - I really needed £30 for a meal out on friday night grrrr.
Anyways I thought I was due some luck so bought a scratch card on way to shop and won £30 whoo hooo - so that and the sealed tin will easily cover the meal out on friday night - great news eh?
So am cheered up a bit now - apart from kids doing my head in - I swear they are getting worse

The kids are 4,7 and 8 - they have just discovered the art of arguing and by god do they like to practise.
Things a bit rubbish on the money front currently £250 in the overdraft eek eek but this is due to extra diesal needed and xmas shopping. In feb once we are straightened out I am going to set myself a saving for xmas challenge amongst others. In fact I am going to have a think about our challenges and targets for the new year. I am maybe setting ourselves a time limit on paying a certain % off. We also need to think about our holiday - we are having a week away in May - just in this contry self catering.
Looked at budget for next month and DH has earned enough to cover the above overdraft. Just not allowed to spend anything till 1st Jan lol x

well done pinky, on getting your credit card down so far. I can remember that feeling well, being so skint, especially at this time of the year. Heating and fuel are so expensive. Glad you had a good time at the theatre, life is for living, and it is nice to have a treat now and again.

Brrrrr it is sooooo cold - 8 this morning. Slipped my way to school for drop off and slipped back again!
Have kept the heating off while kids are out but it is so cold I can't bear to move now.
I was motviated earlier and got quite a lot done, ironing, swept kitchen floors, hoovered, 2 bedrooms straightened up, mopped kitchen.
I must get kitchen and ds room painted in the new year. I also need to look at budgetting for fuel/coal better- in fact I may look at setting up an account just for this and put a bit in each month. We have managed fairly well considering for xmas but I need to do better . In feb I will make a start and think about vouchers/money for next year.
Hope everyone is not too cold!:D
