Ahh - thanks Smartie am getting there - how are you doing - are you feeling any better?
Another ebay item posted today and I have another item selling which ends tonight so a couple more £ in the old pot!
Got a couple of bargains in town yesterday - wanted some new place mats and found some in Wilkos 75% off wayyhaay! So got 10 washable mats for £2.90 and some wipes for 99p.
I also picked up a couple of bits for xmas, so was very happy.
Meals sorted for this week - must remind DH to get some milk and ham. I have a couple of bd's coming up, presents all sorted and got some bargain cards and a few extra whilst I was shopping. These are all written out and good to go!
Not much else going on really, just a nice quiet week x:)

Afternoon all - just a quick catch up before school run. Have another ebay parcel to post and have had to relist an item due to payers basically not paying idiots - why bid and go through check out if no intention of paying grrr:mad: So lost about £14 but hopefully it will still as yet sell.
Quite organised on the food front have a casserole in slow cooker and food for weekend. DH has done a great job during lunchtimes picking up milk and bread for me which saves unneeded purchases and saves on diesal and parking also - very money saver I think:D
Have managed to get a few bits out on the line today as we have a little sun at last. Have done ironing, emptied dishwasher, played with little one. So going to make sandwiches ready for kids getting in.
Have a couple more items I am going to list on sat night to hopefully top my holiday savings up. Not else to report really. Near the end of the month I will know what I will be regualry getting paid so will update my SOA according to that. Have a couple of old insurnaces to cancel so will be £12 better off plus my pay.
Hope everyone has had a good day - speak soon x

DH has no overtime yet for this month eek eek which means things are going to be tight for Nov - surprise surprise lol. I am hoping once little one eventually goes to school I can take more hours but then I am back to the same nightmare which is childcare in the hols. But will wait and see.
    Have a lovely sunday all!

Well managed to get some hours at work this week and come payday should be due about £250 yey - but of course we still need the dreaded oil. I also need some work trousers which I must pop and get today.
I also decided to use some of my savings to try and pay off my Next bill since they charge so much interest and I am getting hardly any on my savings. I splahed out and ordered loads in a moment of madness but thankfully most of the stuff didnt fit and I am going to take most back today. I did keep 2 tops for myself as I really needed them:D.
Have checked online banking and as usual at this time of the month there is only money for basics left. Having said that no more birthdays this month and plenty in the freezer so will make do.
I am going to try next month and make sure we have more cash in the house in change so i can give the kids club and raffle ticket and pocket money without having to keep taking £10 notes out of the bank as the money gets frittered away. Anyway enough from me, off to have a shower and get tidied round. Have a good weekend everyone!

Havet posted for a few days so a quick update.
Nothing much on money front we wont make any overpayments this month as I have to pay for oil anything over (wont be much) will go towards a few xmas pressies. But next month DH has a fair bit of overtime and our pay at end of Nov should cover xmas without adding to credit card - anything left over will go into savings.
Food budget has gone well this month and should come in under £200 this month. Have a few bits in the freezer so may have to be a bit imaginative next week lol.
Havent listed anything on ebay to be honest really cant be ar*sed at the mo so will hang on to the bits I have until I find my motiation again.
Other than that everything ticking over ok - enjoying snuggling up on the cold nights!

Thanks Katie - it is hard to feel motivated all the time. Had another mini glowing LBM today. Basically I have done next months SOA and things are really tight even though I have a few more hours. After we have paid for our oil and all basic bills its all gone. I have money in the other account for food but really need to try and get a few bits for xmas and as usual car needs filling also. Have kind of stayed awake the last few nights thinking about what we did before and of course it all went on the credit cards. If we didnt have the cards straight off we would be £110 a month better off just from making the minimum payments. So the light is flashing strong again soooo, plan is to check online banking on payday and direct money to correct place, do meal planner, (need more chicken & mine this month as we ran out), list at least 2-3 items per week on ebay.
Apart from that not sure what else to up the budget. DH has overtime over xmas so planning to pay MIL money back we owe her and try and pay for at least half our summer hol. (Camping in UK:D)
Then we will do the usual struggle through Jan and hope things get better after we are paid in Feb.
Sorry not the most positive of posts but just writing down my thoughts and ponderings really. I think my new years resolution is to try and pay the credit cards by September - maybe that can be my mini-challenge?
Hope everyone is having a relaxing sunday xx

Well Happy 1st November ............. we are officially SKINT!
We started off a little in both overdrafts, the hair bill was way more than expected (eek eek yes I feel bad). We paid for much needed oil and well that leaves us with about £50 for the month, We have however bought food so its really gonna be soooooo tight. I have 2 birthdays this month also so i will need to do some ebaying to help with the costs of these. I cant do overtime at work as I have no one to help with the kids so am well and truly stuffed I think we may need to use the credit card this month to help out. Feeling really cross about it all today - can you tell? Sometimes I feel that we are never moving forward - just surviving!:(

I know what you mean, November's going to be tight for us too. that feeling of just 'surviving' is one I've been feeling, but like you I do think back to how I used to do things and know it's all only changed for the better; that is, even if I'm not knocking hundreds off the debts, I know for sure they're not getting worse!

And now, let us kneel and say solemnly, let us ebay!

Lol - yep Jo - must motivate to do some ebaying!:D
Feel a bit better today will only be in one overdraft by £90 but work owes me £70 extra next month so it will kind of clear it anyway. Other account is ok, at the start of the month we put food onto Ccard as I didnt know what we were going to be like money wise but if I am really careful I have enough to pay the money straight back of in a couple of weeks.
The good news is and I will update my sig is the c card is standing at £2782! Whoo woo. Once this is paid off I have another card (sitting at 0% making just over minimum payments) which I will attack- this one has £900 on it so not as bad. And then I will be credit card free whoo hoo.
I am still currently using any extras lol to pay into savings and I will continue to do this until I feel we have a back up just in case. Then everything will be thrown at the cards.
Xmas shopping wise have saved a little and off next sunday to get a few bits. I am really cutting back on kids this year as they always get loads and they are always really pleased with what they get anyway so dont feel the need to spend a fortune probably £50 each and a few stocking fillers.
Not much else to report really going to have a NSD today and make some sandwiches and take kids later on for a rake around the woods - they can run off some energy in the process then later we can settle in and watch a dvd. I love the autumn weather when its not raining - very pretty! Hoe everyone has a relaxing sunday xx
