Well sold another ebay item yesterday for £12.99 yey! This will go into my holiday savings for new summer. So this is how things are looking for sept
    - Card stands at £2990 (give or take a few pence)
    - Holiday Savings £20
    - Xmas Savings £200
    - Money for weekly fresh food (milk, bread, fruit) £50 in total nothing spent yet.
    - Spending/family money for month £220 - nothing spent yet:D
We also have free swims for all of us, and I have another 2 items which have bids on, on ebay this will go in holiday fund also.
From this month I also have a post office budget card which I will pay £20 onto every month - Please remind me too;) This will ensure car tax is paid for on a yearly basis. Have also thought about spreading cost of my council tax but since we are ok I think we will leave this and use one for new shoes for kids and the other we will prob get oil with or put in the savings at least its not wasted anyways.
Going to have a NSD and had one yesterday also. Going to do some crafty things with the kids and get on with some of their homework - not long till they are back at school.
Dont tell anyone but ........... I will miss them sooooo much when they go back - I love them to bits and although they drive me round the bend at times (well lots of times) I will miss having them at home - never mind I know little one will keep me on my toes lol.
Have a great Tuesday everyone! x

  • Hi pinky

I have been following the "prepare for winter thread" as well. I have found some good hints and tips, and have started my own list of 2dos. It feels like winter here today, very cold and windy. Still at least kids have had some nice days before they go back to school.

I know Katie it is def starting to feel cold especially on an evening.
Have sold another item on ebay but not much else selling at the moment. However I will do some listings tonight anyways.
Had to buy fruit and milk yesterday £5 which leaves me £45 in fresh food budget. I might pop to aldi once kids are at school and see if the fruit is cheaper there. I did get strawberries though but they were expensive - but I dont mind as they are healthy and the kids love them.
Going to take kids out this pm - just park or something to burn some energy off.

Thanks Mummy - we had a nice time at the park and I and treated the kids to chips £4.90 which we ate on the grass and they really enjoyed.
Shopping budget for month £40 DH has milk money.
Ebay sales - 2 more items have gone although I have a bill for £18 for sold items which is really carp considering I only sold a few bits for mainly £1-£5 and with postage feels like its starting to get pricey so might look at my prices - anyway will have a think.
Have been wanting some boots for little one and some slip on shoes for oldest got all these and 3 tops at next online for £26 so really chuffed. However am really annoyed about a big order I placed to collect I didnt get it in the end as little one was ill so customer services said they would refund 2 weeks after they were ordered over 3 weeks on and they havent refunded and bill looks huge. Rang this am to get it sorted but they need to ring store so hopefully getting back to me???
Not doing much today, homework, housework the usual, going to skip a takeaway tonight to save money. Might take the kids to the river later and catch some tiddlers. Have a good day everyone!!! x

Afternoon sounds good, we don't have anything like that near to us so would mean a car trip into town or similar. Cheap and cheerful fun though, hope the kids enjoy it!

I was going to order a couple of bits from Next online when I was buying maternity clothes but I realised they open an account for you don't they? Hope you get it sorted - press them on it.

Mention of milk money has just reminded me I need to budget that in when I do this month's SOA (which am a bit behind with:o)

Today I must admit am a little worried about money. When I checked one of my accounts I realised I havent accounted for the electric and so am £65 short eekk. Also I thought the overpayment on the credit card would cancel out the direct debit as it has every other month - but oh no not this month and the original £160 has also come out:mad:. So have stopped any more payments coming out but have had to replace this payment with £160 transferred from savings which I hate doing. Also tax credits have gone in early which I wasnt ready for am not sure why? and I have to reclaim lost items on ebay, which meant I have had to refund buyers and wont get all my money back as post office wont refund my postage charges:mad:. So I am fed up with ebay but have no other way to make money. DH is already doing some overtime but we must have oil next month which is a priority. We can just never seem to get it right! Ok rant over - sorry everyone - going to have a stiff drink and an early night - hope everyone is feeling better than I am today.:(
