Goos luck with the ebay bits!
Sounds like you are having a nice mse holidays. We are also trying to do lots of things for free or not alot of money and bringing picnics etc. Means we get to do loads more without it costing a fortune! Also kids are loving baking and doing crafts.
Hope you get through to the tax credits - its such a pain when they go on for ages and then say call back later!! Grrr

Right - tax credits pittance sorted:D, changed bank details. Listed 5 items on ebay more to go on tonight or tomorrow night depending on what we do today. 1 items is selling and 2 have watchers. My aim is to make £40 and treat the kids to a day out somewhere - maybe a farm - I have a few ideas.
Going to have a cleaning day today while little one is out. Floors all bleached and big kids can play upstairs. I am also going to make them declutter rooms today and tomorrow and try and catch up on some homework and reading which we are managing ok.
Splashed out and bought the kids chips yesterday for tea lol. Need to also make a meal planner with what I have left in the freezer only 2 weeks till payday yey!:)

Goodluck with eBay, I had 40+ items listed a few weeks ago, never again, it was to much stress after when posting etc, had people hounding me as soon as auction ended for delivery date, time etc. Nightmare. It was only because we cleared the garage that we found so much old baby toys etc to put on, I will never do so much in there again. The plus side is that I made a nice amount to cover sons birthday.
As for meal planning, why can't I seem to do this.

Thanks Lauren - I will need the good luck. I have listed about 15 items and am dreading the packaging and posting but hope to make enough for our day out!:D
All ok on the money front have about £100 left for the month but need to factor in a couple of days out etc.
DH has done loads of overtime but as usual most of it is accounted for boo hoo eg car tax and stuff which must get paid. Have tried to budget £300 to come off credit card so it will take us under the magic £3000 which will be a huge boost.
Am going to start putting a bit of cash away each month now so Xmas money for family nieces and nephews cards are saved. I will give it too mum so wont be tempted to spend it:D.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend despite the rubbish weather!

Soooooo poor now - officially spend up! Have budgetted for a few days away but will need to take food from home. After this we are poor till payday and unfortunately have some big bills which account for most of the extra money, car tax, school shoes, oil boiler service - ouch ouch!
I have done the entire budget and just need to run through it with DH so he is aware of what is happening. Have more bits for ebay. Have sold 3 items and have another 10 selling. I reckon I have another 15 things to list but will do these when some of the other bits go so I dont get swamped! I am going to have a go at some of the surveys too.

Well off for a few days but they gonna be MSE days! ;)
Ebay doing really well - have sold 3 items = £12 so £38 to make another 8 items are selling at the mo for around £20 in total - with another day to go so am hoping the anmounts will creep up again. If we make any more will treat DH to a nice meal. Oct should be a decent month as DH has a fair bit of oveertime however the money we get we will be using for the kids Xmas pressies and some oil before the weather gets worse. Wonder if there will ever be a day when the money is ours and doesnt go on a bill, child, or household expense??????
Anyway fingers crossed for nice weather this weekend!

Well made my ebay money - couldnt believe the costs in postage - small parcels about £1.75 - so have paid loads out already before the paypal money has cleared. Unfortunately was in overdraft already so some will be swallowed by that hopefully leaving £40 for our day out - however we are running really low on diesal and its getting to a point where I really cant afford to put anymore in. We have already used £220 ish this month and it is really straining our finances as from next month I can only afford £50 per month unless DH gets overtime which is usually accounted for. Next month we really need oil so luckily DH has some weekend work lined up. Am just feeling a bit sick of all of it at the moment and feeling down as some days dont feel we are getting anywhere. I think after xmas I will have to reluctantly look for a job with more regular hours which means leaving little ones and paying out for childcare which I wanted to avoid. But needs must I spose. Sorry not a very happy post from me tonight:(. On another note I have however posted all ebay items bar one which can go tomorrow, sorted budget for next month, started my meal planner/shopping list and put 8 items on scheduled ebay listings. So at least I have done some jobs. Hope you guys are having a better day than I am?
