Does the uniform have to be school-branded (I'm assuming this is what you mean?) I'm guessing so. DD1 is in infant school and although I bought a school-logo cardigan when she started (I know she liked it, she's quite 'proud' like that, bless), they did say it wasn't obligatory (can't think of the right word!) and a generic Asda/etc plain one would do just as well.
Know what you mean about something always coming along. The way I look at it, is that things would be a lot worse were we not 'here' (as in DFWs) and we have the awareness and the advice if we need it to be able to handle things more than likely in a better way than we might have done previously. So, simply a temporary setback, rather than a terrible situation IYSWIM?
Hope you're feeling a little better this evening, I certainly can sympathise with the feeling wrecked!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

I know Katie off I go to the bad mummy thread lol.
Well tax credits have gone in so will be leaving them till childcare is due and in that same account is £100 to come off credit card but I will wait till the bill comes and pay it in the bank so at least that way I dont spend the money. DH has had some overtime come in which is fab news and should def help along with things. The funny thing is, is that if we were guaranteed the overtime spread equally over each month rather than bundled together we could prob manage but as it stands we dont know when the money will come. I need to buy fruit tomorrow and DH has been great using the change to buy bread and milk. Sealed tin nearly full so need to get some money bags and get counting! Not much else to report. Looking forward to a quiet afternoon tomorrow and will try and catch up on some housework. Oh and yell at me if you want as I spend £80 online in Next:( however in my defence my boots have spilt and I have no summer sandals. I got the kids some cheap england t-shirts too. So when DH overtime goes in I will pay this straight off and rest will come off credit card :A
Hope everyone os well and enjoying the sunshine!!! x

Just a quick hi - the days are going past sooo quick cant believe it is pay day next week. I still have a little money but have hung onto it in case of an emergency so potentially have another £100 to come off credit card. I need to check my balance and will then change my signature as it needs updating.
Food front is going well I have loads of meat still as DH has been away lots so I may alter my food plan for cooking for less numbers as its not worth cooking for just me (the kids have cooked lunches and I do pizza, pasta for their teas) I need to also make sure I have the fruit money in the house as a couple of times had to use the debit card and when I do this I tend to chuck stuff in. So as it stands we are under ou £200 so far and I still have a chicken, mince and 2 packs of chicken breasts in freezer. We have also an invite for lunch on sunday - which is always lovely so wont have to use my chicken lol.
DH got £150 overtime so that will come off ccard, the next few months though any overtime we are going to save half and pay half off credit cards - just so we have an emergency fund really.
Today I must - iron, mop floors, phone electric company and increase our payment! Have a lovely day all!:)

Good luck with the xmas bargain Mummy! every bit helps eh?:)
On a happy note I can say that uniforms are paid for, school pics paid for 4 birthdays, and I am in neither overdrafts and my grand total for food shopping for the month is £145 :j:j and as I said earlier I have quite a few bits left in the freezer. So I am going to treat the kids to chips tonight and have defrosted a yummy apple crumble for pud - a well deserved treat eh?
I also have £80 left in my other account which I will pay off the credit card as I have the bill. When I have done this I will update sig. DH has a load of overtime next month and I have made an extra 3 hours this month. So things are ticking over nicely! I still have some things I need for the house and we need a new carpet upstairs but would rather get the credit card down before spending any more!
I still need to get the money on the xmas card which I will do tomorrow!

Just a quick post today as I have loads to do before I go to work. Made an oopsie on the payments front as I forgot we had tipped into overdraft which basically stuffed my plans for the moment. Have decided after xmas to seriously look for another job as I simply arent earning enough really and where I work now is costing me loads in diesal. This will give me time off with kids over xmas and a fresh start in new year.
Meal planning going well but have had loads of unexpected expenses crop up so going to be really tight this month. DH working lots of overtime so this should help us get straightened out this month. I am going to get some bits for ebay and up my income this way - hope everyone is well!:)

Oops did a post and then it went somewhere hmmm?
Had a good low spend weekend and have got some storage cupboards to sort out some bits.
Things are going to be really tight as my hours at work have really been reduced so going to try and look for something else more permanent. So next month am going to start making minimum payments till work picks up - we are only being charged about £4 per month interest so the total will keep coming down. I have reduced my next bill to £200 and will keep cracking on with it. I have a couple of larger items to list and a friend who is interested in some furniture so will see how that goes anyway! Meal planning going well. Now that work hours are going down I am going to have time to keep a better spending diary so will see how that goes anyway lol. x:jNov 2012 - Loan £1200, CC1 £1450
