I also checked in the machine for the vitamin voucher today i had two earlier in the week obviously boots have withdrawn it now, Nevermind was good while it lasted
Does anybody know how often the offers in the machine change ??? I did get the £5 voucher today though so thats good

Yes, but do they all have unique barcodes to identify that they are all different vouchers? The till won't accept the same voucher twice so they surely know that it is their own ineptitude that caused this. :rotfl:
Exactly, I'm all for a bit of Boots ineptitude if it benefits me!:D
What I'm not a fan of is people slating Martin for trying to help others.
We all use his site coz it's fab and saves us cash. :money:
Seems a bit dumb to bite off the hand that feeds you especially on his own website! doh!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -

I don't think it is a case of slating Martin but it isn't rocket science to see that if something is broadcast so publicy and openly then it will get noticed and stopped. It is enough to have it on the thread for people to see without putting it into a newsletter where it will most certainly get seen by the company concerned and stopped immediately which means that in the end less people will end up getting it anyway. So we all lose out.
Some offers are great for newsletters but not ones where an obvious mistake has been made and will be rectified as soon as brought to the attention of the company concerned. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

I'm not sure it was a mistake exactly, I think boots assumed people would buy vitamins etc that cost more than £2, the plant sterols my mum takes to help with cholesterol for example are £12, so if my mum goes to boots rather than holland and barrett, boots have made profit even if they give her £2 off, as mum would probably buy thm on 3 for 2, and maybe something else whilst she is in the shop, boots benefit. They probably didnt think people would advertise the like 2 types of vitamins that are cheaper than £2 on a forum, or would assume people wouldnt see them in the shop.0 -

They all have the same barcode - but as long as you do each vitamin transaction separately, the till will accept as many as you want to give them (one voucher per transaction)0 -
Hmm, I suspect the SS tills (around here anyway) have been changed in the last month or so.
I just tried the Royal Jelly vouchers together on the SS tills, and the till beeped and asked for assistance as soon as I had scanned the acm voucher (hadn't even got as far as scanning the mailing one) I had no medicines/vitamins, anything, in my basket. SA came over, had no idea either why it needed her assistance. We ended up going to her till, where she put through everything, including both vouchers, with no beeps  .0 -
I found a couple of vitamin acm vouchers in the bottom of my bag but they had obviously printed quickly( kept pressing the print key!!!) so though I would have a go with one in a small store nearby. I picked up the Vit C 99p pack and went to the photo till. Upon seeing the voucher the SA said " you can only use this voucher in stores with an ACM" I said no if you look it up on the website it says any store. She umed and ahd and then said " It can only be used on the day of printing" I said no if you read it it says valid until 16th Feb.
She had a scowl on her face by now so I said really nicely please could you just try it so begrudgingly she did and it went through. She practically threw m y receipt at me so I left.
Why dont Boots bother to train their staff and it wasn't her £2.00 of points she was giving me anyway. I have 2 left so will use at my local where my frendly sa was amazed at the offer when I used some last week.0 -
