I managed to print of 10 at the sale on Wednesday. So got my sale goods in the basket, gave them to OH while I went to till with vitamins ( only 9 on shelf ) and put each one seperately. So spend £9.90 and got £18.00 in points which I then used towards my sale goods. Then back to my local store and got 2 more lots and my lovely SA friend was most impressed. I still have about 5 vouchers left so will ry again tommorow. Little tip- if you have printed a lot off at once then the bar code may be a bit squiffy and not work. Oh for the days of Herbal Essences 38p each and 100 points. I still have loads upatairs and gave about 20 bottles away to family. On to the next glitch which was given to me by my SA friend. You know sometimes you get a survey to fill in to win £1000 online with your till receipt. Well she told me that if you answer Strongly Agree or Strongly Disagree to the 1st Question then your chances of winning are higher. May be worth a go. Also agree that nastiness is creeping in again on here.
My sis who works fo UN was in Haiti for 2 years and is going back in the next couple of weeks with the relief mission. She had told me how poor the people were when she lived there and we as a family have been collecting clothes for the children and taking them to her to send on for a couple of years ( WHen Woolworths closed she was home and she bough a whole suitcase of t-shirts for 20p each) So perhaps instead of being nasty people should channel their energy into thinking of those poor people and sending some money instead.0 -
I went to boots today and I only got what they posted through my door which was save £2.50 when you spend £10 or more:(0

I've learnt the hard way with this voucher, I only printed 3 and then it was gone next time I went to acm*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

Yes, it does seem that as soon as the lovely Martin mentions it on GMTV the Grabbit is gone even before most of the public gets to it.
I'm not one of these 'let's keep all glitches/deals to ourselves as when it goes in the weekly email it spoils it for everyone' types... BUT am starting to see a pattern here! Some poster spots the Grabbit, posts it, MSE members (and lurkers) who are dedicated to the forums see it and take advantage of it. Then some eagle eyed MSE employee spots the AMAZING deal and it goes into the email... THEN onto GMTV! And about 5 seconds later it's all over bar the shouting! :rotfl: And, on a more serious note, it lets retailers know EXACTLY what we're all up to and how to stay one step ahead of us.
Not sure what we can do though really, except be super vigilant and try to get in early on good Grabbits before they've been announced to the world on national telly!!!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
Save £180,000 by 31 Dec 2020! 2011: £54,342 * 2012: £62,200 * 2013: £74,127 * 2014: £84,839 * 2015: £95,207 * 2016: £109,122 * 2017: £121,733 * 2018: £136,565 * 2019: £161,957 * 2020: £197,685

That's why I was suggesting that loophole and limited stock offers should not go in the newsletter! I wasn't meaning to sound selfish or stop people from getting a bargain its just that some offers aren't meant for the mass public otherwise they don't last very long.
BTW I was only thinking about fellow MSErs missing out but the general consensus seems to be that people don't mind the offers going into the emailThis is in the MSE newsletter today which means once again regular MSE'rs will miss outEmail goes out to tens of thousands of people who don't even contribute to the site yet they will happily take advantage of 'loopholes' such as this. Just think that posts such as this (of which stock is in limited supply) should be left for the regulars rather than fighting it out with the rest of the nation on the email!
Only 75 regulars have thanked the poster so far but you can be sure that a lot more lurkers will have benefitted from this post!
EDIT: Correction, 3 million people receive the email according to this link! Is there really enough supply for everyone to take advantage? Which is why I say...leave it for the regulars!Well from past experience when an offer hits the newsletter it sells out almost instantly. My point is that the email goes out to 3m+ people and even if 30% decide to take up the offer I doubt Boots will have 900,000 of these items in stock so a lot of disappointed people which is why I suggest that stock limited offers should be left for regulars.0 -

I think the machine might just be set to issue a maximum of three per cardholder. I was only able to print off three (in quick succession) and even then, to do so I had to remove my card and insert it again each time.0 -
No wonder all of those coupon machines were out of order..
I heard someone mention getting coupons through the post, how do I get those too?0 -

I started to get mailings from boots after having an Advantage card for a while, I think there may have been a box to either tick or not on the application about whether you are happy receiving mailings/details of offers. Also get sent details of Xmas shopping nights. Have had my card for years now so not sure of finer details but Im sure someone else will know.0
