hooking up telly to hifi?

    The only genuine output is OPTICAL (Which you almost certainly dont have)

    So your out of luck (Or you can try using the SCART if your not using it already)

    yes it has hdmi usb etc , future proof apparently , not past proof though it seems
    i use the scart for the video sender thing to send from the sky box in next room

    As savemoney said on another thread, your best bet is probably a SOUNDBAR with an optical input

    i have a cunning plan..... which i used before i bought an optical cable.
    use the headphone socket (on the side next to another hdmi port possibly) to plug into your hifi.
    a 3.5mm standard jack on one end, with a split to stereo phono on the other.
    like this:

    just googled sound bar , and a bit over the top for what i was intending to do , was just hoping to link into the amp which basically is right next to the telly and perhaps play some music channels or even sky radio channels , thinking cap on again now , thanks
