Is there aux switch on hifi? Like cd/tuner etc0

What leads have you connected? I assume it should just be phono leads on your hifi as savemoney says it should have an aux switch or equivalent0

the amp has a knob which turns and will switch between tuner/cd/phono/md/tape/cd-r/aux/dvd , i have cd using one , and radio using another , i disconnected the phono leads from the cd and used it to hook up to the tvmy favourite food is spare ribs0

So when you select (presumably still selected on the AMP side) the 'cd' input you dont get any sound at all?:idea:0

I take it you have 2 cables, a red plug and a white plug which you have connected from the CD port to the TV.
Have you connected to the Audio OUT port on the back of the TV?0 -

it says component in on the back of the tvmy favourite food is spare ribs0

What are you watching when you are trying this? id recommend FREEVIEW as the tv has to output the sound (Just to make sure its not input dependant):idea:0

Thats the entirely wrong phono selection. Thats COMPONENT INPUT (picture/sound in). You need PHONO OUT
