  • Hi all,

Wow I am being so slack with keeping up with this diary - must try harder! At least I have a half decent excuse - I've been trying to keep busy to stop myself thinking about HIM! So I have been going to the gym lots and actually having a bit of a social life! :j

I was still in pretty much constant contact with the ex for this last week, just going round in circles, arguing etc, not nice :( I eventually had enough on Sunday and told him not to bother speaking to me anymore. He sent a few more messages but I stayed strong and didn't answer and have not heard from him since Sunday night now.

Yesterday was so hard because we've been in contact 24/7 for like the last 2 years!! I just kept looking at my phone waiting for a text that never came.

Today hasn't been too bad though, I think being busy is the key! Speaking of which, I better get back to work. Promise to check in later!!
    2019 will be my year!!
  • You are doing the right thing by trying to avoid him, it will hurt like mad now but like you say keeping busy is the key and it will get better as time goes on. Dont give in to him!! x
  • Thanks sunny, I do know it will get better eventually. These things always go in time, it just doesn't feel like it at the moment :( It'll probs be a lot worse when he gets back next week too. At least with him in America I can hide from it a bit more!

Oh well, in the interest of being busy I'm off to queue up to see Peter Andre at our local supermarket! :rotfl:
    2019 will be my year!!
  • I know when he gets home it will be hard to resist seeing him but things get better with time as they say! Oh you lucky duck, I love Peter Andre he's gorgeous, he was my teenage crush..lol Did you get any photos of him?
  • Was a long day! We were queuing for 6 hours to see him for 20 seconds!! Had absolutely no luck with photos, because too many people were in the way  and couldn't get one with him either! :( did get a kiss though so it weren't all bad :j

I am totally shattered now so am off to beddy byes! Night all x

    Hey there
Can't sleep! So started lurking about to stop me getting hugely frustrated by the not sleeping thing! And found your diary.

So sorry about your ex. Recently been there done that... went through crying, anger, relief, anger, never want to see him again, crying, want to see him again, why are our mutual friend's being weird, anger, crying, shouting (that one took him by surprise, I don't do shouting)... then one day a few months back I woke up and thought why am I putting myself through this, and it's been better since (though am tea-total when he's around otherwise it might get dangerous!). We were friend's before we got together so our group of friend's are a mutual group of friends - which is a right pain in the a** at times, I tell you :D

Erm, sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant and probably isn't helpful to you. Chin up hun - and enjoy that sociallife- you deserve it!

  • Hiya niccatw, I had one of those sleepless nights on tues - was up from 4.30am - 6am!

I can imagine that must be really tough having that group of mutual friends. I guess I'm lucky in that way that we have different friends. Still, as Sunday gets closer and closer I am getting more and more nervous about him coming home. :wall: It somehow makes it worse that he's coming back on valentine's day too

Aw honey, that's so hard. Big squashy hugs for you and a :coffee: and hobnobs (they've not invented a hobnob smiley yet, but it's got to be near the top of the list by now!).

I can't offer you any constructive advice I'm afraid; I know I either get myself away some-where for the day with loads of people around me - or have a wee drink or two - or several! The first suggestion is usually the more sensible option :)

We'll be here for you if you need to rant ot cry or scream - or anything! Take care hun x

  • Made the mistake of talking to the ex today and hence followed a good 3 hours of arguing :rotfl:

Was soo good to get everything off my chest though and have a good old rant, I actually feel much better for it! Am slowly starting to realise that the world will not collapse if he's not around and I actually might be better off without him :) So I definitely don't think there's any danger of me seeing him when he's back now!! :D

I have rewarded myself with a packet of crisps though which ain't good for the weight watchers points but I think it needed to be done :p

Hey well done you :T You sound much more positive!

And I wouldn't worry about the crisps... I've just come back from a picnic in the park with my friend and her two kids. I won't tell you everything we managed to consume, but suffice to say we each had a quarter of millionaires shortbread, rocky road cake, chocolate crispie cake and a chocolate janmmy donut :D

Not so bad for the kids, who were hanging upside down on monkey bars, roller-blading (kind of), playing football and tig. Less good for me and their mum, who were merely holding up the roller-bladers, sitting on den during tig and kicking the football only when it happened to roll in our direction. Secretly we wanted to hang upside down on monkey bars and play on the swings - but the park was busy and we didn't want to look mean throwing other people's children off the swings :rotfl: And the last time my friend was on the monkey bars with her daughter, she ended up in A&E :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
