Hey hun hang in there you are doing really well, as moo said some days you will lack motivation but tomorrow is a whole new day and you might well find some there.
And now you know your worst case scenario it can only get better, chin up hun, I love your little diary it's keeping me going. x0 -
Thanks to both of you moos!!! :rotfl:
I am definitely feeling more upbeat about it now I know what I'm up against. I know there is a long way to go but I am determined to keep going!
2019 will be my year!!0 -

I am in total shock & think I may need to break my no alcohol month!
I've just found the snowball calculator & according to that my debt free date will be September 2015!!!
I knew it wasn't going to be good but 5 and a half years???!!! I'll be 30
I just want to cry
But you have already paid off loads and it will only get better. I got into debt on my 18th birthday (Student overdraft!) and it will take a minor miracle for me to be debt free by 30 (December)
Focus on doing what you can and celebrate the small successes, don't focus on 5 years away as your motivation will just b*gger off
If you've stopped your lunches/takeaways you should now have a healthy surplus to throw in the general direction of your cards. In terms of the Halifax overdraft, you might be better leaving this till the others are gone as you will be getting charged £31 per month regardless. Could you increase the A&L overdraft and put the Halifax one on there? They charge 50p per day I think so that's a saving of £15.50 per month right away!Kayleighpea wrote: »I want to keep aside £15 a month each for these so I dont get a nasty shock when the bill arrives! Have you got this in another account somewhere?

Otherwise you seem to be doing ok - there should be a payment for contents insurance and allow yourself something for going out. You'll go crazy otherwise!
Sorry about the red bits on the SOA - I find it's easier for things to stand out if you put them in red :rotfl:
Good luck on your debt-free journey

Thanks for the reply & going through my SOA FF! :j
As this was my first shot at the SOA I wanted to do a worst case scenario really so I have maybe slightly exaggerated a couple of the figures but it really differs from month to month.
Ok answers to your q's:
The £15 a month each for gas & elec I havent been putting in a separate account, I've been withdrawing & keeping in a secret place for when the bills do turn up!
Yes the water is included in the rent & I don't pay anything for the landline. We have Virgin Media which I pay £13.50 a month for the Internet & TV but we don't have a landline phone for calls. Hence why my mobile phone bill has gone up dramatically!
For the mobile it is a £35 a month contract for a blackberry where I get unlimited texts and unlimited internet & email use - very handy for the mystery shopping! So by the time I add on any calls to banks/credit card companies or anything outside my plan usage + VAT it usually comes to about £50 a month. With my OH being in the USA, my latest bill has just come in at £68 though!
The grocery figure is probably more than I do normally pay but until now I haven't been keeping a spending diary so for my first go at the SOA I thought I'd budget for £30 a week which would include any cleaning products etc.
I very rarely buy clothes which is why I have put zero in there. I am also resolved to not buying clothes until I have lost some weight so this figure will be right for the next few months at least!
The travel is for trains & again I have probably over-egged the figure a teeny bit. I get a lift into work in the mornings but it is never guaranteed how I am going to get home. If I do get the train home it's £3 so I have put in for £15 a week on trains as a worst-case situation but I do sometimes manage to get lifts home too.
As for the entertainment, as a view to getting all costs down I have not been going out so the figure of 0 is correct! I can't even remember the last time I went to the cinema FF!
As for Cosmo (which is my only entertainment!!) I have signed up so that I pay £12 for a 12 month subscription so this is only £1 a month! :T It's like I'm robbing them!! :rotfl:
Wow what a long post - sorry guys!!!2019 will be my year!!0 -

Maybe the cost for the landline is included in the broadband then, I don't know! All I know is that I pay £13.50 a month for Virgin Media Internet & telly & we don't have a phone!
All my calls are included in my mobile package anyway so it's just the premium numbers that are adding to my bill.2019 will be my year!!0 -

Empty the washing machine, put the washing in a carrier bag and leave it outside his/her door. Lazy sodKayleighpea wrote: »* Put some washing on if flatmate EVER empties out the stuff thats been sat in there for the last 3 days!!!
