There's no need to be - you can always start again tomorrow. Think about what you have done, not what you couldn't be *rsed to do
(Then - go and do something!!) :rotfl:0 -
Thanks Mags_cat, yeah I guess I need to pick myself back up & start all over again! Is hard to keep the motivation going though, sometimes I just think all the little things I'm doing aren't really making enough of a dent & it's hardly worth it

Thanks missy
I am feeling a bit more positive today, have been reading up on other people's diaries & seeing the motivation of some people really helps. I just get these days when I wonder why I bother, every penny I earn seems to disappear into a never-ending black hole of debt! 2019 will be my year!!0 -
Just found your diary, I think you are doing really well, maybe if you focused on one debt first, maybe a small one and cleared that then you would feel galvanised into action. These aren't really words of wisdom gained from experience as I have only just found the forums and started a diary myself, but I really cannot wait until one of the debts is gone it would be brilliant.
Good luck and don't be to hard on yourself!;)

OH DEAR GOD!
I am in total shock & think I may need to break my no alcohol month!
I've just found the snowball calculator & according to that my debt free date will be September 2015!!!
I knew it wasn't going to be good but 5 and a half years???!!! I'll be 30
I just want to cry
2019 will be my year!!0 -
Plus, I forgot to mention that it also isn't entirely accurate  as the amounts I have put in that I pay to cover my overdraft costs are taking it off the total debt when I am actually not paying anything off, so will actually be longer than that

Afternoon all in diary land!
I'm feeling a bit more positive now after the shock of yesterday. I think this will actually help as I now know the worst case scenario & can work towards bringing that debt free date closer!! :j
I've also had my mobile bill for the month which (while that itself is a horrendous bill!) means I can send off for my chequeback from CPW. As part of my contract deal, I send them a copy of my bill every 6 months & they send back a cheque for £60! :T
The only problem now is to decide whether that goes towards household bills, CC's or my dad's 50th birthday prezzie!2019 will be my year!!0 -
Kayleighpea just the fact you're doing something about your debt is a huge step in the right direction. As far as motivation it comes in walves. Some days you do tons, others you do nothing. its the ability to realise that doing just one small thing extra that really does make the difference. Pick something that really irritates the heck out of you but which you ignore daily and do it. Whether its the ironing or emptying the cat litter tray. It all helps.
Your debt didn't acrue overnight, its not going to go away quickly either but it will go, slowly at first but then it picks up speed and suddenly you find your outstanding debt is just dropping away. Its a long hard slog but you will eventually get there and you may even have fun on the way.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
