    Hi All,

Interview went a lot better than expected, and it must have gone even better than I thought because.....................................

    :j:j:jI GOT THE JOB!!!!!:j:j:j

So so so chuffed! And because of the person who got the other role, they have changed my new job role to incorporate the one she is leaving behind! Will be a lot of work but I will learn a lot and more importantly will be getting an extra £3k a year :D

Thanks Isla! I am mega pleased but also pretty scared!! :rotfl:

New pay started from Monday though :j and officially start in the new role on the 26th so am clearing down all my current stuff and doing some training for the next couple of weeks.

Soo typical that I've now heard back from the other company as well and they want me to go in to see them next week! Lol! Still gonna go, just in case they offer me some fantastic deal :p Now just need to find an excuse to have a day off work.....

Wow all this new stuff is draining! Looks like I'm going to be a very busy girl from now on and no more dossing on the net during the day! :rotfl:

I am exhausted and I ain't even started yet :(

    Hi all,

Another NSD for me today, firstly because I'm skint! Secondly because I had to bring in cakes to work but paid for them with nectar points :money: And then went to pub for lunch and my friend bought me lunch as my birthday prezzie! :D

Good stuff! Won't need to be spending any more today either so a def NSD :)

Looking forward to birthday tomo, but not looking forward to adding a year on and moving into the 25-30 box on the survey sites! :rotfl:

Also a b*gger that I am doing race for life tomo but have been told by the doc today that I have sciatica. :( Sodding kills, every time I put pressure on my left leg I get this shooting pain and at the mo I am struggling to walk let alone run the race for life!!

Oh well, Ibuprofen galore for me for the next few weeks :(

    Hi KP!
Congratulations on the new job. I hope the sciatica is better now and that you've settled into your new role.
I'm trying to regain momentum regarding finances and have started a new diary. I'm going to try and catch up with diaries more often again now!

    **cough cough** ermmm hello?

2 months later and I am sheepishly returning with my tail between my legs :o

Ok so I went off the rails a bit but a lot has been going on! I turned 25 and immediately became depressed that I am getting old :rotfl: the new job has taken up the majority of my time, and I have also moved flats (again) so have not had the time (or the inclination) to be good and keep an eye on my money. Hence I have been spending like a good'un and have maxed out credit card and overdrafts once more.

I think the only good thing I did moneywise was stop paying my £18 a month for Weight Watchers, but that's only because I was going out eating and drinking all the time and couldnt be bothered to diet!

So here I am, broke and fat and with 3 months until Christmas I figure now is the time to start sorting out both of these things! :D

  • So the plan of action:

Firstly I need to sit down and do all my sums to find out the exact balance of debt again and how I can tackle it with my new slightly higher wages and my new much higher rent!

I figured that this month was a good one because Dad is switching over the Egg card to another 0% one and I get a payment holiday this month! So that's an extra £150 in the back pocket and I already have a conflict of interests on what to do with it.
    1. Top favourite idea at the mo is to put the £150 into my savings account (which currently holds £3.20) and keep it for Xmas prezzie spends, so I am not struggling when the time comes.
    2. Next niggly idea is to be sensible and chuck it at the Natwest credit card.
    3. I haven't had a haircut since February so I might spend £50 of it on that!
    4. I owe my Nan £100 for a concert and overnight stay me and my mum are going to with her next year but I'm not due to pay that til Dec - could possibly hand it over early or keep it in the savings account until Dec hits so I might gain a little something on it.
Hmmm or a shopping spree!! :j

    Choices choices!
