Congratulations ZLJ :T:T:T
I'm sure you won't have any problems at all organising it... according to my SIL (and a number of other people) what you need is a spreadsheet - then you can compare every single venue/caterer/florist against each other based on the things that are important to you.
Bed made, bedroom is looking lovely (thanks pigpen
) so even if I don't get round to wiping the paintwork this time, it'll pass for the moment.
So in the morning... clear landing, do upstairs floors, do ironing... then blitz downstairs so its done by the time my brother turns up! (oh yes... and do enough work to avoid a complete panic when my writing is due to be submitted... next week...!)
I've heard from sexymouse - her PC is fixed so she should be back online in the next few days. And she's going to join us for the walk on the 23rd too.
Toots... hope you've gone to bed
Good night all!0 -
stressed.mum its up to you which bedroom/s you need to do - - there will be childrens rooms later in the week so maybe the shared room even if they are meant to do it themselves- I bet its not up to your standards:rotfl:
Happy New Year Zoe good to hear you are mending and thats fabulous news about the wedding - have you googled wedding plans/ planning or some of the wedding magazine sites - that should give you some ideas - a guest list is probably a good idea to start with.
toots xxPeace will be mine

Just popping in to say hi to everyone! Happy new year!
Im still flying...just:rotfl:Hips getting better but might have to have some surgery in the next few weeks:mad:
I have some newssssss!!!! And i need your help!:rotfl:Mums coming over from australia in july so we have decieded to finally do the wedding!!!!!!! The date is looking like 17th july atm so not left myself much time to plan~(192days)~we are trawling round the possible venues this weekend and next and i have no idea where to go from there!!!!!
How was everyones xmas/newyear? x
LOADS of time.. did mine in 25 days!!
Make a list and do one thing at a time.. what will you get most stressed over? What you wear? what the children wear?..
Booking places for receptions/night do's is often a problem in the summer so get that done FIRST.. then look at what will stress you most.. Decide what you want for everyone etc and do that, colour schemes/bridesmaids/etc.
Order flowers and cakes early, they too book up quickly and a long time in advance. Photographers and cars too.
Basically the stuff you need other people to do is number 1 priority.. plus you can do that from home/over the phone or explain the situation and people will come to you.. they need the work..
Invites shouldn't take too long.. and need to be sent out at least 6-8 weeks before so people can book time off work, make travel arrangements and save up to buy you a decent present!
Final things are probably the actual items of clothing.. is it possible any of us can help out? Little suits and frilly dresses are rarely worn so pass on well.
Oh.. wedding lists.. places like Argos/John Lewis for example have a weddinglist service that people can access online.. that may be something you can be browsing while incapacitated.. small cheapy items up to large appliances can be added to cover all budgets.
If you need any more help I'm more than certain one of us can help out xx

ZLJ that is fabulous news
Congratulations. My sister's BF (as he was!) of 13 years finally proposed to her on her birthday in the March and they married in the July of the same year. I think she found it easy as due to tight timeline there wasn't the time to get stressed IYSWIM. I am sure there are loads of people on here who can offer suggestions/help.

Just a progress report on cleaning the gas hob and cooker.
I gave it some much needed tlc that it has not had in a long while. Thanks to very useful suggestions from kind posters on this thread. :T:T
I rubbed some potions into every nooks and cranies and then massaged them in, finally wiping away all the excess liquids. I think that it is looking much better groomed. Maybe now it will stop having a tantrum everytime I turn the grill on, which triggers the smoke alarm to start screaming.
But I have booked another date for next Monday with Mr 'Cannon Oakley', to repeat today's happy experience. :smileyhea...Thanks for all the advice.Content makes poor men rich; discontentment makes rich men poor. Benjamin Franklin0 -
Thanks for DS1s birthday wishes, had a good day. School ended up being off for DS1 but DS2s was on, I called at 8.50am they said to bring him, got there 9.05am they were sending them home because the car park had snow in ***rolls eyes*** but made him happy. Busy day collecting stuff we needed then a quick tidy/clean when we got back. Went to Pizza hut for tea (Thanks Hex & Tooch for voucher idea or I wouldn't have been able to) then to see Avatar, excellent film!
Sorry got back after 11pm (very long film but needed to be that long) so not had time for catch up, hope you are all well. Best go sort school stuff incase DS1s back tomorrow.
Love and hugs to you all xxxOne day I might be more organised...........
