Dusty - no call yet and DS and DD spent a lot of yesterday chilling in their rooms so I'm hoping they'll escape. Who knows?!?! DH just phoned to say he's feeling sick! I feel slightly better just a bit weak so hopefully it's just a 24 hour thing.

Sparkling lemon yankee now refreshing the living room.

The dogs have tipped over the recycling bin in the night so my next job is to pick that up...in a minute or two xx

Been on our playdate and done another couple of errands. Found a gorgeous Gap shirt (lime green striped seersucker - he looks fab in lime green and its not a common colour) for DS in the charity shop whilst DS found a 29p book on germs (at this rate his Christmas money will last months!).

    So updating list

p.mag - check on advertisers I've not heard from, issue invoices, speak to editor, start 2009 accounts (in year is done - need to add on last 4 months)
nct - sort garage bits, update treasurer, get out NNS lists & make a date for planning meeting, speak to HS, RBC forms up to date?
DS's bedroom (tidy, clothes try on, new lamp, change bedding, hoover)
Finish filing in new calendar & hang

had lunch so DS having a quiet half an hour, whilst I do some p.mag stuff - see you laters

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • mudbath My sympathies over the V&D . I had it a few years back and was doing Exorcist impressions in the bathroom. I even had to clean the ceiling *g*
The only good thing is it doesn;'t last too long, but leaves you very weak for a while afterwards so take it steadily.

greenbee Really pleased you found the keys.

    Quillion Happy Birthday.

pigpen Loads of affection for kitten? Did you tread on it again?! *g*

Jinky Lovely time with DD does a Mum's heart good, eh? You'll look forward to the next visit now. Also pleased things are going well with Daz. I did follow some of the campaign to get you to move in the Arms, but as a [STRIKE]stalker [/STRIKE] lurker *g*

LameWolf Welcome my wonderful friend. This is such a friendly and supportive thread. If I do a little onthe list, I've found I can forgive myself the rest of the mess as I'm tackling it in a logical way so feel much more in control iyswim.

No star for me today as I've not long been up - bad night and lots of pain. Friend coming with new baby which will give me a boost and i'll try to do something at least before the end of the day.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

Welcome and please don't be nervous, we are not here to judge but to support. There are weeks when some of us acheive very little (ignore Mudbath and PenPen they are swots but not the rest of us :p).

When you say you house is a tip do you mean a mess with clutter everywhere? If yes then for now I'd concentrate on sorting stuff out as to what you can get rid of and what needs a home found for it. Once the place is tidier it is so much easier and quicker to clean. Good luck
Thanks - the house has got very untidy since Yule, what with Mr LW bringing in extra supplies, and me using the[STRIKE] junk[/STRIKE] spare room as a store because I'm paranoid about running out of things; also as Mr LW wanted Yule decorations, dusting and such like has kind of been non-existant for a couple of weeks.

Usually I have a major blitz, and send myself straight into a flare because I've failed to pace myself; I thought perhaps if I join the Flyladies I can keep to doing my tasks in a steady way, iyswim.

I'm afraid HHCs are going to be beyond me - half an hour's non-stop action will see me in bed for two days! Is it OK to do my own TMCs? (Ten Minute Challenge):o

    Anyway..... update for today:

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level One
Declutter and wipe those worksurfaces Done
Sweep and mop the floorMrLW did this yesterday. At least swept; we have carpet tiles in the kitchen, so a bit difficult to mop.:o
    Level Two
clean blinds/curtains Can't manage this; I can't reach from the floor, and am not safe on the step stool
Clean the hob and oven Already clean, but microwave was pretty grim, so cleaned that.
Clean out the fridge.. Should be OK, as it was done last week when it was nearly empty; it's choc-a-bloc anyway, so will leave for now.
    Level Three
Clean out the under sink cupboard.. new year, new cleaning products! It's reasonably ok; but I did do the food cupboard yesterday (with Mr LW's help), which needed a wash (you know how salt'n'pepper grinders drop bits everywhere?) I have to have help, or at least Mr LW at home, to do the bottom cupboards, as once I'm sat on the floor I can't get up again without assistance.
Dust and dewebStill to do if I can manage it in a while.
Wipe over the units and large appliancesStill to do if I can manage it in a while.
    Extras
    1. wash windows Can't manage this; I can't reach from the floor, and am not safe on the step stool
    2. Declutter the tops of the wall units No clutter there – only the things that actually belong there.
    3. Sort recipe books/files All OK, as they're kept in order in any case.
    4. Wipe over all the small appliances Done
Have also: washed a machine full of bath towels (WM was on overnight = cheaper leccy)
defrosted birds' “lollipop” (water dish) and put out some scraps for them
taken pizza base (HM) out of freezer ready to build tonight's dins.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
