Welcome back. Problem is - I threw the whole lot away after the umpteemth time of picking up those horrible little swords and vowed never to get one again - that was in my pre-moneysaving days.......Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120

Morning!
I have spent all weekend looking at my SOA and trying to trim bits off my spending. It's so easy to do on paper
I haven't done a weekly shop this weekend - the kids are disgusted! THey are so used to having cupboards full of fresh food and chocolate every weekend. Anyway, I decided that the cupboards are full of tins and packets and the freezer is half full of various bits, so we're going to use them. I will go to Aldis today and get some fruit and stuff but I have a £5 limit. WE should be able to get by on just getting bread and milk for rest of week!
Checked my Virgin statement. I owe £9800 - did a balance transfer 10 months ago. Anyway the o% interest period is over so they charged me £178 in interest and payments have gone up from £25 to £183, so will only be paying off £5. Got to get this sorted out so have considered a loan but am also trying to work out how to shuffle a few of my other credit cards to do some balance transfers! A loan over 5 years will cost about £190 a month, but I really want to be debt free before then. Decisions, decisions!!
Sold something on ebay yesterday for £10. Might motivate me to list a few more things now!
Have a good weekProud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Well, it's only 3 days to payday.:) We have £65 in bank (or at least remaining on overdraft!!:o) I have approx £150 left of family allowance (that goes to another account!) but still feeling a bit low.
Tomorrow I want to finish a little earlier and see if I can look into cc transfers so I can nip Virgin in the bud before they start charging silly interest! I also need to write to tax credits and appeal against their decision I've been overpaid.
However, work is mad at the moment - in my team there are 8 people at my grade, one is on leave, one is newly qualified and on protected case load and 2 are off sick, so the work is just too much!I'm also still waiting for dh to see neurologist so don't know if I'm coming or going.
Good news, have decided to organise a bit of a night out for those still at work on Friday. Will probably end up with about 5 of us getting drunk -sounds perfect:)Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
Oh your work sounds scarily familiar!!!!
As does Virgin nightmare, sadly though balance transfers aren't even an option for me
Good Luck with the shuffle!

I'm managing fine with eating 'whatever', but the kids are revolting (in every sense!) :rotfl:They haven't stopped moaning and even paid for themselves to have a McDonalds the other day;) We did buy some Rice Crispies at the weekend, but went to a local shop and they were £2.50 for the smaller box, they've run out now and so will have to wait until I go to Asda, but apparently we have nothing in the house for breakfast - apart from 3 loaves of bread (but they don't want toast!)
I may copy your idea and write down everything we have in freezer and plan meals around it - the kids will hate it, makes me want to do it even more:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120 -
