And you are going to send said item which could be a "bird hook" back in the post etc for the sake of 9.50? For me my time is more important than 9.50 and the hassle of going to PO and repacking a "bird hook". Who knows you might be really taken with the "bird hook" and use it. There are loads of uses for "bird hooks"

oh you really need to take a chill pill honey. who said that cat aids was funny? why bother replying to a thread that you clearly have no interest in apart from to moan and stuff. you really need to lighten up.

I'd rather go out with my mates for a laugh!

I don't quite get how ordering something you know has no chance of being a sofa(if you have a brain) just to see what it is is fun:confused:

so get your coat on and go out then. why bother commenting on something your not interested in? honestly?

I wouldn't say they will be getting sofas, those writing the emails probably haven't checked or thought about what the item actually is and those on the phone will probably just have the same image etc coming up as everyone else. It's the warehouse that matters

I think you will find if someone has an email from M&S saying that they are going to get 2 x sofas at the price of £19.50, M&S will have to deliver 2 sofas for the said price of £19.50. They are confirming the price, and the item, therefore confirming order.
if they dont get a sofa, and want to take it further, they have the grounds to do so right there in the email confirmation stating the word SOFA and £19.50! doesn't matter what the warehouse say! lol

The warehousw will send the item corresponding to the item code which is not a sofa.furthermore anyone placing these orders knows they were not ordering sofas

Yes this is correct when the order is picked it will be the corresponding item to its code but how is that the buyers problem? Its up to the retailer to ensure mistakes like this don't happen. If someone bought an item listed as a sofa, with a picture of a sofa and had an email confirming this then its called a glitch, obviously most people would chance buying knowing it was an error, thats the reason it was posted on mse. You bought jeans knowing they were priced incorrectly on the £1 price glitch isn't that the same? This site is about saving money and on some glitches doing so sometimes means using legal loopholes to get that bargain, its up to each individual if they wish to pursue their rights. People have already stated that they can get a refund, they have nothing to lose I don't know why people care, I didn't order, but if people get anywhere with chasing this glitch then well done to them.

I have no problem with people ordering and then getting a refund. However,I would be disgusted if anybody tried to persue anything and tried ripping M&S off(especially given that it was known it was not a sofa)
No the jeans isn't the same -they were down as jeans (sofa did not say sofa on the product page btw, certainly not when I saw them) and went through as £5 cheaper and I will at any time happily pay the full price for them as I only buy what I was looking for and wanting anyway.

Jealous?Where?Personally I could afford to go and pay cash for one tomorrow and still have loads left. There is no jealousy I assure you but some people (not necessarily on this thread as hopefully nobody will be as sly to try and do anything) need to remember the effect on companies and assume consumer responsibility

Listen to yourself boasting like a child  Are you Mrs M&S or something?? You seem to be indignant about not ripping off M&S

Who said anyone was planning to "rip" them off? Aren't people allowed to order what they like?
