Good luck to your husband with his new job... hopefully that will make a big difference to your goals!

Thank you, hopefully once we get the JSA back pay and PPI back pay sorted we can clear the overdraft and really start making a dent on the mortgage.

Good luck on your journey to be mortgage free!

Phoned Halifax yesterday to find out what they are waiting for and they need confirmation from the Job Centre, and the Job Centre turn around is 7 weeks!!! So will probably be another month before we get JSA back pay and PPI pay for the past 6 months

Back to work tomorrow so back to reality - although only 7 days to work before all the bank holidays start :j

Hubby has decided this week that his new job isn't for him so he has left :(, so money will be tight until he finds something else as I assume he won't be able to claim any Job Seekers as he chose to leave the job

I've spent the morning in the sun after going shopping and spending too much yesterday - £50 on a new purse (reduced from £65!), although my cousin said to me if you change your purse you change your luck so I bought a lottery ticket and a scratchcard and won on both :j even if it was only £11!

Off to do my food shopping now with my £6 off voucher :money:

Crikey that's a bit rough! Couldn't he have stayed in the job while he looked for a new one? Was it really that bad?

He was really unhappy there and said the atmosphere wasn't nice. He's been off work for the best part of a year after being made redundant whilst he was off sick having his chemo - it took getting this job for him to realise that he wasn't ready to go back to working in an office and he needs to do something different.
Fingers crossed he finds something soon!

Today is my first day off work for 3 weeks :j:j:j

I'm still in bed , makes a change from having to be up at 6 every morning for work

The plan for the next few days is to try and get back into DooYoo and make a bit of extra cash

I put a few things on ebay last week but so far only a few watchers no bids :(, hopefully with most people off work today they may bid last minute. Anyone know when the next free listing day is as I intend to have a declutter and will hoipefully find some more ebayable items

Off to my dad's later for a BBQ - hopefully the weather will stay nice

I've been to see the Mortgage Advisor in my local branch today as I'm due a payrise soon - he said once I have that i'll be able to transfer all of the mortgage onto the staff rate of 0.5% :j:j

This should reduce my monthly payments by £200 if I keep the same term, but i've worked out if I reduce the term from 20 years to 15 the payments will be pretty much the same as they are now :D

Just need to wait for my payrise to be sorted then we can sign the paper work :j:j:j

    CHECK the TAX.
current benifit in kind rate is 4% so taxed on 3.5% if you get a loan for 0.5%
