It's been another few busy weeks, have had 3 exams but only managed to pass 2 of them  so need to do some revision before my re-sit on the 18th but really struggling to find any motivation at the minute as I'm so busy at work, as well as trvelling about 300 miles a week. Although teaching at college has now finished for the summer so that's 6 hours of lessons I don't need to go in for so I should really spend that time revising.

Have kept the £250 a month over payments up, so with July's payment the outstanding mortgage is £117,352 but still have the overdraft as we're still waiting for payment of the PPI

Went out for a friends birthday meal last night which was nice but cost us £50, andI have a few more birthdays coming up so don't think this month bis going to be great for spending unfoprtunately :(

I've been invited to my aunties for lunch today so haven't had to buy any meat for today :D and will try and use things from the freezer for the rest of the week before going shopping as it's getting quite full and i'm sure there's enough veg in the fridge for a spag bol in the slow cooker as well

I'm still trying to negotiate my grading at work which will help nquite a bit if I can have that extra money each month as well as being able to have the whole mortgage on the staff rate - just wish it wasn't taking so long to sort because I culd really do with the extra cash now

I didn't realise how much I'd written there - have a good weekend all and enjoy the sunshine

  • Well done you, I've been neglected my overpayments a little, but I lost access to my online banking and then went on holiday!!

It doesn't seem fair you are twice the hours you're gtting paid for so good luck with the grading!!

We've been told that the PPI money will be paid in the next 5 days, so that's £1k we can put towards paying off the ever increasing overdraft :j

I had some vouchers from Sainsbury's for £10 off, so i'll be off there later, need to get both my parents birthday presents as well.

I've managed to get a better work life balance, by order of my boss because he said i'm doing too much! Although I should have probably spent the extra time revising for my exam on Monday

I've been on the Next website this morning and bought myself a new suit, oops! But it was in the sale so not too bad and as i've lost a bit of weight recently I do need some new clothes.

Sucessful shopping trip yesterday, :j I now have a fridge full of food! And I have dad's birthday present, just need to think of something for mom.

Although, I should really be revising instead of reading everyone's diary on here  I'll be so glad when tomorrow is over and my exam is out the way

On a positive note we havew finally recieved the PPI money so that has gone towards the overdraft :D

Unfortunately, I didn't pass my exam so will have to book in a re-sit for that :(

I've had another couple of days out of the office this week so the 45p a mile (x200 miles!) will help towards the bank balance! Four days out the office next week, although I think i'll only be driving for two of those.

I listed a couple of things on ebay last weekend but only one watcher so far, fingers crossed I might get a bid :money:
