*DFW lets get rid of the lbs without spending £££'s Weight Loss thread*

hi - new person here so hi!
at work we all need to lose a few pounds (stones in my case) so we've started an unofficial weight management programme (or the fat club as it is lovingly referred to by my boss - who is also a member!) - we're not following any particular diet or programme but have all cut down on food and don't have chocolates, cakes or biccies in the office and I have started to walk the five floors up to our office every day and have brought a skipping rope and will try and do some skipping every day if i can.
we all want to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week and if we don't reach our goal by the time of the xmas party then we each have to donate £5 for every pound not lost to charity with the person who loses the most choosing the charity.
we will be monitoring via the local Boots weighing machine (70p) with everyone giving me their slips every tuesday so that I can maintain a spreadsheet and give them each a weekly progress report - we started last week and tomorrow is the first "weigh-day" so please wish us luck!S.A.D and proud

Hi Spud,
You can totally ignore this suggestion, but why don't you change your Avatar, maybe to the girl in the advert you are referring to.
When I first chose my Avatar, it was as a joke, but i'm not far off it now. I'm starting to think it's me.
I'm convinced that BB will look like hers too.
Hi Devi,
Welcome to the board, it sounds like you are going to have fun at work. It is good that you have so much support there, you will certainly get it here too.

You'll start to see her emerging from the weekly pictures you are taking.

thank you - will definitely let you know how we get on.
Some slips have been coming in already and it's a mixed bag - going to my weigh-in at lunchtime (before eating!) so fingers crossed - don't mind not losing anything as long as I haven't put on!S.A.D and proud

Now there's a thought. Maybe if your Avatar is a hunky male, you don't get to look like them, but you end up dating a lookalike
. Isn't it a shame we only get to have one Avatar at a time.
