4 pounds off for me this week :D 48 now in 8 weeks, I am staggered I've stayed the course for this long. Hoping to kick through the 50 barrier for the finishing line of the challenge next week.

I am very proud and feel incredibly in control . In that way, yes I do feel good. I am reading a book on Cognitive Behavour Therapy as I really want to sort out the 'mind' stuff this time as well. I really believe that habits are learnt quickly (think how quickly any aspect of life can become routine) and this book is about undoing negative beliefs about ourselves. Physically I don't really feel much different.

I showed OH week 1 and week 8 photos this morning, first time he's seen any. He went 'bloody hell' and was genuinely  and said 'you can really see!' I even pre-empted it with a 'I know I still have a long way to go' and he didn't even give me a backhanded dig of any kind - that's how much I think he was surprised!!

Lost 6.5 inches off my waist so far. About 4 or 5 inches off my hips and about 5 or 6 inches off my chest.

Well done BB i wish i had your willpower. Im afraid i have STS again this week so not done well at all on this challenge. I am meeting some fellow MSE folks on the 22nd and was hoping to have lost a bit of weight for that but looks like i will have to trundle down there like a heifer. I have seen piccies of some of them so i know i will be far and away the biggest there. Well Louise can you put me down for 7lb again on the next challenge and i will def try harder. Good luck to everyone xx

Well done BB, that's a lot of inches to have lost, and a nice comment from OH. I read a quote recently that said, 'think highly of yourself because the world takes you at your own estimate.' It may be that the more you value yourself the more he will start valuing you, and if he doesn't you'll start to have no further use for him, and the strength to walk away.

I'm STS this week, but i've been away on holiday and to STS was what I was hoping for, especially as I had fish and chips a couple of times and a chinese takeaway. Lots of activity though.

This week I intend to exercise in some form or other for an hour a day, get back to healthy eating and consume 1400 calories a day.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

    Hi peeps

I'm depressed. Had to go to the doc this morning, just for a routine repeat prescription.

Can I weigh you Mrs Spud says she out of the blue.

    NOOOO says I.

She did it anyway and promptly declared me to be the heaviest I've ever been. She recommended I do something about it pronto and offered me help with weight management, regular weigh ins etc which I refused as I walked out the door.

    GAHHHHHH :(
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Oh SPud hun...come join the clan! You can do it, you've done it before. Dust of the tredie and aim to just walk maybe twice or 3 times a week and build on it. It doesn't have to be every night and take over your life, baby steps!
