:o:o..thankyou........lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way to go yet though :o

To be honest I still don't think there's a difference. Nobody has commented at work and I sat there this morning as someone asked my tall, slim manager if she had lost weight! She definitely hasn't and I'm sitting there over 3 stone slimmer and nobody has even made a murmur!

Am determined to hit 50 pounds by the end of the challenge on 15 August, that would be awesome for me in just 9 weeks. Got a night out in the next 2 weeks and have it all planned so I can have a little treat ;)

Day 8 of doing exercise. Did Wii Biggest Loser again today and upped what I've been doing (around 15 minutes on wii fit) to 6 minute light warm up and 23 minute light workout. I found every single second dull. I really do not like 'traditional' work out exercises, I can't find anything remotely pleasurable about getting hot, sticky and sweaty and about the repetivitiveness of doing a work out. I guess some people are programmed to like exercise and some aren't. I'm definitely in the latter camp!!

I think although I still really hate the getting hot, sweaty, wet clothes, yuck aspects of doing exercise which looks like you're doing some kind of 'game' on the wii, at least it takes the mind away (a tiny bit!!) from the feeling of it being torture!

tried stuff like that Sal - I have a salsa DVD and the Strictly dancing DVD and I was bored after 1 try. I found this link

    http://www.nutwiisystem.com/best-wii-exercise-games.html

which gives them a fun rating as well as a work out and I think I would like to buy the wii fit plus. I want to 'forget' I'm exercising because it feels as if I'm doing something fun. Can't afford it this month but am going to start looking round for the cheapest place to buy it.

ETA: actually.........it's only £15.00 on amazon and a bit cheaper on ebay......might see if the pennies can stretch to it this month.......

  • Just back from a fabby 3 nights away from home for our wedding anniversary , with a big box of chocolates, meals out, wine and all sort of treats! Not so good for the waistline though, but I think I've lost 1lb. My scales are really difficult to read, they have 2lb increments and they are a long way down :rotfl:

Back to earth with a bump today; washing machine not working, cat v unhappy and I think she may have an infection as has piddled a couple of times on the carpet and on our bed  - she never does this.

I have some nectar points that would buy a new set in argos for £0 so will have to investigate. I don't think I'll make the 1 stone target this challenge :( which I really wanted to do.

Hope everyone else is having a fabby deflabbing time....

Yes forgetting you are doing it is good...makes it go quicker! I think you will get to that point where you are doing exercise for long enough to reach the endorphine high...for me its around 4-5 miles of running. If I run under that distance I don't really feel that glow and feeling great after

I can honestly say I have never felt that in my life :rotfl:10 years ago I started using the gym 3 times a week and I think that was probably the closest I've come to it .

No one noticed mine until I lost about 5stone, even the people I told were on a diet didn't notice. I think its because you see certain people everyday and its hard to notice a change. The first person in work to really notice it had been on 2 weeks holiday previous to mentioning it. When I went somewhere I hadn't been in over a year the people asked if I was seriously ill :rotfl:
