when you say brown vinegar, do you mean normal malt vinegar that you use on the dinner table?
Yes, the normal brown vinegar you put on fish and chips.
...ok, now I'm hungry...1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Before the number of cases of scalding-from-hot-vinegar go through the roof... can I just point out that you can buy glyphosate-containing weedkillers very cheaply at Poundland, Home Bargains & B&M.
Glyphosate is the chemical used in 'Roundup' - so it's like paying for generic ibuprofen (20p) instead of super-dooper-speedy nurofen (for added shot of caffeine, add £6)
There may be a difference in concentration - but you may as well test the lower strength one first.
There's been lots of bad press about glyphosate recently - but that is regarding how it is used.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to make crops resistant to the stuff, so that it can be sprayed around like air freshener should be locked up.
That's why there is now pesticide residue on food crops.
That's also why there's now a backlash against gluphosate. Used properly, it stays in the plant. Then the glyphosate is broken down by the action of decomposers.
There are loads of threads on here about how to use it safely and properly.
When you chuck boiling vinegar over a plant, it may kill it - it'll also kill everything else in your soil and screw up the pH.
The most disturbing trend I've seen (and it appears to be all over the internet) is using lots of salt.
'Cos it's natural.
It's also deadly and will wipe out everything - you might as well order monoblock for your garden now...:eek:0 -

If you knew the first thing about the product you are supposedly endorsing, you'd know that no effect would be seen so soon.0
