  • I am suspending all PADs except the minimum payment DDs that are going out. I quite literally have no income whatsoever at the moment due to the weather conditions and that doesn't look like changing for at least a week at best. Added to that, I'm having to pay for a new battery for my van.
On a positive note, at least I'm not using any diesel ;) .
    So no PAD today.
I'm directing my anxiety at getting all my ducks in a row for when I can work again and sorting out the huge mess that has built up in my flat over the years.
I will have to borrow quite a bit of money (if available) in the near future. If it's not available, I could have a serious problem on my hands.
I don't feel that I'm mentally or emotionally equipped for defaulting on debts. The phone calls/letters from so many creditors over a longish period would have the potential to drive me over the edge. For me i think it's a case of pay up or go BR. I want to pay. The problem is that the way creditors start treating people once they strart defaulting can push people into BR or IVA just to stop them hassling.

Hi all, another £1 to the ccs today.

It snowed again last night - nooo! Getting my bathroom floor tiled today. :j That's another thing done around the house, so just need to focus on tidying, decluttering and saving for the flooring in my hall.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.

    Morning all,
I'm making a measley 35p pad into my change jar today.

The car failed it's MOT and apparently it has a cracked front coil spring, looking at about £80 to get it fixed and then I'll have to pay for the retest. That sodding car is a great little runner but for some reason it has never managed to pass an MOT first time  At least I had budgeted £100 for repairs but I had hoped I wouldn't have to use it!

Ah Poppy sends her love up north to little danko jnr :rotfl::rotfl: I showed her some snow and she was really confused when she tried to eat it and it was so cold!

Right I'm just off to put my change in the tin, do the washing up and then stick some chilli in the slow cooker. Hopefully the second part of the day will go better than the first!

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

That is a bummer about the weather Paul, though it's good that you have a plan to tackle some of the things you don't normally have time to. That will put you in a better position when you do get working again.

The good thing is that you have made headway with your debts, it has been moving steadily downwards, which is an achievement. If it has to go up due to your business, then so be it - it will come down again later.

You seem very focused with the different challenges you're doing, so that can only have positive results. :T
I can't pretend I know what it must be like to be contemplating BR, but from the sounds of it, you've overcome greater adversity in life and will get through this too. Keep going, you WILL get there :)

Does anyone here get paid fortnightly? I think this challenge would be so much easier if i got paid weekly!
