Heating now fixed thankfully - the oil filter on the oil tank was totally frozen so the oil couldnt get through to the boiler! Only charged me call out fee of 37 quid even though was here for half an hour so - very relieved.:j

    Enjoy your Saturday folks.

Virtual hugs to all those who need them.
Our local council have taken to putting sand on the pavements as they sold a lot of the grit to another council earlier in the year!

Not going to be any decent pads from me this week as wages rubbish due to no work due to weather and so any spare money will be going on gas meter.
Not as cold as some have it, but actually because of lousy windows I am paying to keep the street warm :p
So little mini pad of 30p to the shrapnel jar and a £2 coin to the sealed pot is the last decent pad of the week £2.30

  • On the subject of councils....

I helped myself to a great big bag of grit from a secret supply! Things have got so bad in neighbouring towns that the council are paying for plant hire company to JCB the snow down to the River Spey and dump it in there!
