Resisted a temptation to get something from sainsbury to chuck in the oven and saved myself some valuable cash so am going to PAD £3 to Natwest OD! Thanks clearing!

  • Evening All,

I've been AWOL for a wee while again - busy with OU, work and random stuff like rowing.

Back on track on the 1st of the month though so £172.80 please

Hope everyone is well. Just had a quick glance over the past few days so  to the newbies (and to the regulars of course).

And did I really see Niddy posting on this thread??

Frugal PADers, can I ask a question..... when you bulk out with bulgar wheat, how much do you use? I just used 100g to 300g of mince for a chilli, and added a bit of extra water. Is there a 'rule of thumb' for amount per person?! *confused*

  • I'm clearly making up for the days I don't pad.... just stuck another 39p (I think!) in the pot, just whats left of this weeks budget (that lasted long!) and rounding down my few pennies left for the grocery budget.

Errm, you may need someone more experienced but I generally just chuck lentils in to bulk out my mince. Have you looked on OS or Frugal challenge?
