It's funny how everyone has their own little way, but whatever works is good

Not sure how much is due to padding, but I've paid off about £1500 since my lbm on 9th November. Hoping to get below 11k in March.... going to try my hardest!0 -
Moanin' PADers!
My PAD today is £5 for Sat, £5 for yesterday and £10.77 today (into savings and pot), making a grand total of £20.77 please!
I found my engagement ring on Saturday! No one was more surprised than me that it ended up being a diamond ring, as i'm not usually a fan of diamonds...but the stone I originally wanted (amethyst) was said to be rather soft for engagement rings and liable to damage. I managed to find a slightly unusual setting too...AND at a price I was happy for my fiancee to pay (believe it or not I was avoiding the £1000+ rings! *Gasp*)
Really, really happy and can't wait for it to come back from being re-sized (which should be Thursday).
CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has paid off debts, and I hope your operation has gone well by the time you read this, Piggin

I've given up trying to understand the weather thrifty.
It warmed up quite a lot last week, and during the weekend. This morning, however, I awoke to fresh sprinkling of snow and -6 temps!
I forgot my hat!
COLD ears! lol. I want some ear muffs, my hat never seems to stay in place over my ears anyway.

I do count the minimum payments though as it does all help to bring down the debt.
I'm really pleased with what I have managed to achieve in the last 8 months or so. This time last year my debt was still increasing, now I've managed to decrease it by nearly 4k!
:D:D I would have never thought that possible before finding this site. And you guys of course. PADding fantabulous!
:D:D
I count the stuff that goes in the pot, I just have to remember not to PaD it again, when I pay it into the bank.
Prior to finding this thread I was just paying agreed rates of £49 on a DMP and would have struggled to find more money, so far this year have paid over £300.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

We're always here if you need a chat or anything
A lot of the 5k has been caused by a big jump in income from one year to the next. When that happewns, there is a large "payment on account" with the January half yearly bill. The July payment will "only" be about £2.8k so that shows what a difference it can make. Under the old system, the two paymnts were always equal.0 -
i do believe i forgot to post my PAD! lol! £50 to virgin today for me plz! xxxCurrent Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0
