    Just had the phone call - op is tomorrow.Thank God! Nil by mouth from 6:00am, got to be at the ward by 12:00 noon. Will hopefully get to go home about 3:00-4:00pm.

I had my appointment at the hand clinic on Thursday morning and they have put me on the emergency list for an operation to remove the shard in my finger. And last, but definitely not least, OH's uncle died of cancer yesterday (he was only diagnosed on Monday).

    Thanks! I could cross the fingers of my left hand! I am looking forward to getting this over and done with, even if it means more pain in the short term.
