My friend.....awful really. She came in this morning, but we did a hand over of work and told her to go home. She's in a right state at the moment, and as much as we try to comfort her, we can't make it better.
Anyway, I brought in Season 1 of Supernatural for her to watch this weekend. So, at the very least, she can spend some time drooling over the 2, VERY HOT, guys (lead characters). And I've told her to call me if she wants to chat/go out/sit in an chat and cry. She's scared of where this could all lead, more than anything else.
And from what I know, I fear that her worst nightmare might soon be a reality. We will have to wait and see.
Thanks for asking though
Can't be a very easy time for all involved. I hope the situation gets better soon.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Sorry norris but whats wrong with your friend?? If you've already mentioned it earlier I'll blame adding up totals/going senile as the reason I can't remember sorry.Debt @ LBM - £25,722 Debt now - £11,811 DFD - April 2012

Ah, the Winchester brothers......droolThey are gorgeous and fabulous and everything wonderful! Thanks to Birthday and Christmas presents from the folks over last few years, I now have series 1-4 on DVD! :rotfl::rotfl:And I was watching series 4 again last night as OH was out. He will watch it with me, but I enjoy drooling over the lads without him there getting jealous! hahaha
I'm going to another *cough* Supernatural convention in May this year. In Germany this time. Am hoping that Jared and Jensen will be able to make it this time (they weren't at the UK one in 2008), but I'm not holding my breath. Misha Collins (Castiel) will be there though. Oh, he has gorgeous eyes!!!! Love him also. ANd I've just revealed how geeky I truly am! lol
Green - my friend's family member has a severe coke addiction. Things have become a lot worse recently. I deleted the original post as I don't really want to reveal too much on a public forum and out of respect for someone who I asked a question of. I hope that makes sense.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Afternoon everyone,
Thank you for all the kind posts with regards to the sentencing yesterday. Feeling a bit better today about things, for one i am glad that at least he is locked away - and like others have said he will have to live with what hes done for the rest of his life.
Payday today - finally!
Havent got round to doing this months budget, but have transferred £46.47 to moving house fund until i get the budget sorted.
Not really sure what has been said with regards to the car seat thing - think i missed something along the way - but i tend to agree i cant see the problem with using the same car seat for little Adam, and im sure we all know you would do anything to keep your children savespeaking of which how are they both?
Erm...did have something else to say to someone but i've forgotton what:oBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Which is exactly why i am so disgusted. He drove after spending the night drinking, he then killed an innocent bystander. Your right they do completely leave emotion out of it - which is fair enough really. But in my mind hes basically a murderer, and he could be walking the streets within 3 or 4 years if he behaves himself in prison, whats more he will be driving again
Was he a long way over the drink/drive limit then?0 -

Yes he had been out drinking heavily for quite a few hours. He was too drunk to interview when they arrested him, they had to wait until the next day.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
angelicmary85 wrote: »I thought the whole point of those witness statements were to tell the court/jury about the person/feelings/what happended next sort of thing so they would take emotion ino account?
I'm not convinced that is the reason at all. It's probably more about allowing the victim to feel like they have a voice. One problem with taking emotion into account is that no two victims will ever have the same intensity of feelings nor will be affected in the same way. This would lead to an even greater inconsistency with sentencing than currently exists. I do question though whether 5 years is adequate if deliberate drunkenness is involved. Maybe that might be just about acceptable if someone strayed marginally over the limit, probably by accident, and the drink wasn't a factor in the crash but even then, I would be wanting some private time with the driver if you get my drift.0 -
