Green if your ins is fully comp it's usually free but I'm with Direct Line (fully comp) and our windscreen is £75.00! We had to have 2 windscreens fitted withing about 4 months of each other due to other road users...was secretly hoping for 'Gavin from Autoglass' to show up but to my huuuuge disappointment it wasn't him!

If you phone autoglass, they'll tell you if you need to pay instead of looking out your ins documents

I wouldn't kick Gavin outta my bed...wouldn't do very Angelic things to him either!

ETA - You don't need to contact ins company, autoglass will take the payment (if they need to)

It wasn't my excess that they charged, it was windscreen cover, I think they're different. If in doubt though, check the back of your ins certificate as it should say on it if you have windscreen cover or not.

Was very annoying because it was definitely beyond repair.

Is it wrong that i had a little smile to myself when the police told us the next day that the man was fine just had a huge lump on his head and the headache from hell as he put it?

I was talking about him today at work and the slob I work with googled him to see what he looked like.

We don't have access to most of the interweb as the company have blocked it but she did manage to find out that he has a facebook page...I really want to add him as a friend! :rotfl:

You need to check your policy some have no excess on windscreens
