Aaaaggghhhhhhh I want to scream. I want to buy the Creative SoundWorks 500 but after my next credit card bill arrives on Friday but the price on Amazon has shot up to £75 from £39.

Does anyone know if the cheaper price was sold by Amazon themselves as opposed to another retailer through Amazon? Are they likely to get more in stock at that price? Or was it a special sale only?

I have Googled and Froogled and used Kelkoo and can't find it at £39 anywhere.

Could be a very good price if the £20 off voucher still works but will have to save the vouchers for another bargain instore!!

It was sold directly by amazon, as you say it looks like it is being offered by a marketplace seller. Sorry, I don't know the answers to your other questions, except for when it was originally on sale it wasn't "on offer" it was just priced at £40.

Yes, I've got one and I have to say it was superb value for money! £22.50 from Superdrug after 10% off promotion. Works flawlessly for me - wakes me up to DAB radio faithfully every morning. Sound quality is reasonably good, bearing in mind its not a hifi - great for bedroom or kitchen. No quibbles at all at this price.

Plays CDs if you want to pay the extra money.

I'm trying to find a DAB CD/Clock radio for the Mrs - we did get a Ferguson but it was like Wembley Stadium even in Standby.....when the Radio was on - you could read a book from 8 foot away!!!
