    Buy the creative dab 500 from amazon for £39.99 instead. It's perfect for a bedside radio & more. I've had mine for a couple of days now & I'm really happy with it. Some features you might be interested in:

    * it has an illuminated clock display when the radio is off, the display is negative lcd (the numbers are pale while the background is blue)

    * alarm (radio/beep) and snooze

    So does the alarm come on as the radio, and then the clock goes off? That is no good as I want to keep an eye on the clock when I wake up and give myself some radio listening time!

    No mate the clock is always on, just dims when the radio is off & goes bright when it is on. The alarm can be the radio or a beep; haven't tried the beep but judging by the sound it makes when you set a preset station it will be loud.

    If I could give you a demo I would, it really does the job & has a lovely rich sound.

    Bush are not exacly a quality brand, and a normal warranty only lasts one year, so its hardly suprising that they wouldn't take it back. Sorry it broke, but if you want quality you have to pay for a quality brand.
    Although slightly harshly put, I agree. I worked for a company repairing audio equipment and Bush (and Alba and Goodmans, all the same company) are extremely poorly built and are very poor quality. As long as you buy Bush/Alba/Goodmans products cheap, are careful with them, and accept they may only last a year or so its not really a problem. Just don't expect them to last much longer than the warranty.

    Does anybody know of a really good DAB radio that has a CD player built in too? They seem too few and far between and I want to replace my crackly radio with a new digital one for improved listening, but also want the convenience of having an all in one device that's compact and won't take up lots of room. Any pointers/advice or if you have one, recommendations very welcome? Thanks.

    Any receiver with a headphone socket you can connect to a stereo system.

    'Just back from Superdrug. Itech cube clock radio on offer 'for one week only' @ £24.99. Grab a 10% voucher from Superdrug's website and you can bag a bargain @ £22.50! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but at that price, it still is exceptional value!

    Here's the last thread for the same item (mods - please merge if felt appropriate!).
