Hi everyone - well it's been a long and tiring work day for me and back to it all again tomorrow and Friday and Saturday this week too. Need to try and keep up with some additional things so this week I'll be looking for cash for my very, very old mobile - has anybody done this already and have any recommendations? Want to pop some things on ebay too after recent sales. I must also move at least 2 further things out of spare room - nothing in there for ebay though.

Money update: £47.50 earned from p/t work - have some more to come but as this was doing work i don't normally do they said i'd get extra :D

The bad money news is that money just seemed to slip through my fingers like water yesterday - food shopping :o was particularly costly - i bulk bought loads of things that i buy on a weekly basis as they were on offer for less than half the price and in the long-run this will save me money but just now it has cost me plenty

Have made some progress with the spare room, now it should just be that final push et voila! its super tidy once more. :D

I had thought of a mammoth posting session on e-bay but have gone through my biggest wardrobe and still discovered nothing i can part with that would raise any cash - all the things i could get rid of are far too worn for e-bay so for extra funds I think I hear matched betting calling - we will see.

Aim for today - abolish pot mountain and have at least 1 room organised - wish me luck

Well done. This seems fab - lots of hard work and really inpiring. What a shame mobiles are worth so little after a few years. Mine old mobile cost a fortune and now sites like mazuma are offering one pound for it!!!

There should be other companies too though. Do check.

You should be able to sell your phone to https://www.mazumamobile.com.

Hi savingwannabe - many thanks for the advice - off to work out what this phone is and see if I can get anything for it.

I have organised 1/2 of spare room and 1/4 of another so in some ways i'm nearly there on getting a room sorted it'd just be better if it was all the same room:rotfl:

Pot mountain almost all washed and laundry done and put away. :A

Plans for today extend as far as finishing clearing spare room except for paperwork - which is a necessary evil and requires transferring onto comp at some point when I have 2 days free. Plan was to do a bit each week so may actually start that on Monday *if* I finish the room today. Also keep on top of pots and list a few bits on e-bay.

Also today plan on sorting out sending off my old mobi - thanks for the info savingwannabe :D so need to delete all info off this as I never know what is saved to the phone or sim

Tomorrow I have a MS to complete and input so must print off details of that today - just picked this one up ;)

Then I intend to round off the day with watching a movie or two with OH and generally just relax a bit - slept terribly last night so will try and keep a reasonable pace today.

    Have a good weekend all

    Hi DDFW,

Have you checked out the mobile selling tool on the MSE homepage? You just type in the make and model of your mobile and it searches all sites and shows you which ones will give you the most cash? Def worth a look!

Hi All! Thanks Kayleighpea - just got to make sure nothing is left on my phone and then it'll be gone! Small item but I still have the original box so will clear a bit of clutter for me and bring in some necessary pennies ;)

Spare room is cleared :T but nothing in there for e-bay as there wasn't alot of stuff anyhows, I have got the paperwork left however but it is alot! of work to transfer onto comp and too sleepy to start today.

This week i want to have all the housework done before Friday that way I can have a nice lie-in and then have a day trying to make the garden look more like a garden rather than a pile of compost bags and weeds!

3 working days until the lovely long weekend arrives!

Well it doesn't look loke all the housework will be done by Friday ho hum its no biggie really will just have to focus and do a mad dash round the house to get it done as quickly as possible :D

Eye-covering time as I decide to add more of my debts onto my signature. I don't feel like I am making any progress and need to keep focussed on what I have to pay off. I will put them all on once I have accurate figures due to minimum payments being due now :(

Well there are my debts all sitting in a row waiting to be crossed off. :o I have put the cc debts at 0 payments simply because I have listed these now. I have been maintaining at least the minimum payments each month - though sometimes I don't know how. Hope all that makes sense.

I actually feel better writing these figures down now. I should hopefully pay off the overdraft today :j - this is simply from wages from last month and the cutting back on all spends but the necessary - I could have done even better without the big stocking up spends but once I can cross that milestone I'll be really pleased and then its time to focus on the next one.

I think the next debt(s) I tackle will actually be 2 at the same time - 1 will be the lower amount to OH as this needs to be re-paid by June  but this is not incurring interest so at the same time I want to start over-payments on the lower credit card bill.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions please feel free to let me know :D

Hope everyone has a good Easter - off to complete scratchies for today

Hi all - I am in such a positive mood! yeah! if you look at my sig you will see i have made a payment to my CC - my first overpayment in what feels like FOREVER and though it may be small, may it be the first of many! In fact I have to update earnings sig as the money came from an ebay sale :j

I just feel so much better with all my bills 'written down' as it were and now that I've paid overdraft off (well it will be crossed off once money hits the account) I feel I can focus on everything else. Though it sounds silly i feel that now that the money that goes in there is a credit, rather than reducing the overdraft i actually feel like the money is mine and that I have a bit more control. Hope this all makes sense.

In other news I got soaked in the rain doing the garden and feel so much better for it - the gardening that is not the soaking. Off now on a quest for e-bayable goodies

Wishing you all a fab weekend, 2 MS's on the horizon for me tomorrow!
