Hi all, am just back from a lovely few days away. I spent more than I wanted to but thats probably because I have absolutely no room in my budget for entertainment. This means the rest of my extra income for the month will be sat in my bank account trying to keep me away from the overdraft. I didn't go overboard with purchases or even eating out - it was just anything I spend on things like that is too much. Still was a fab time and good to be away from it all. Back to work today

Hi all, I haven't posted for a while - mainly due to illness and though I have been reading diaries I have not really been up to posting.
I have been working as I visited the docs and got tablets to try and I have discovered are no real use but I will be returning there at the end of the course.
Well, its the start of a new month and off I go to work today bleurgh! In fact today is taken up with work and small meetings that there was no other time for in the week so feels like a real bitty type of day where there's no chunk of time available for me to sort things out - No extra income today but should be some over the next few days.
I am now doing a store cupboard challenge - so any hints and tips to keep me away from the overspend - especially on goodies at less than half price - which I think it *always* makes sense not to leave behind - I'd be most grateful.
So plans for the rest of the weekend - declutter and ebay! Hope everyone has a good weekendCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Phew! Started tea so thats in the oven now,
Jobs Update:
Moved pots, washed pots - 1 more lot to go
Washing done, dryed - need to move this
MS input!
Drawer emptied - now needs sorting
EBAY - needs to be done next!
Ok off to do a bit more before I flake out altogether. Although I'm not feeling 100% today I am better than I have been which is good. I need to try and not do too much today though as I will then be in danger of being useless the rest of the week
. I have found out when I feel up to it and get on with tasks I feel great that day but then am absolutely void of any energy the rest of the week - making even walking a huge effort. This is just a symtom of my illness and am back at the docs this week. I am in no way worried - just want fixing then I can get on with stuff all the time

Just a quick update before I continue -
Decluttered so far:-
2 tops for me to cunningly recycle into something new
Various sock type things gone - these were beyond saving
2 pants binned - buttons duly rescued - unable to sell or repair, only used for gardening and i have another pair that i wear all the time so decision made
1 top binned - again no use for anything else
1 jacket - charity
1 pair of shorts - gone - full of sun tan oil that never seems to wash out
All the above means that i can now easily open and access the three drawers I've decluttered which makes moving washing easier. The other big plus is that where i used to have to leave the things that wouldn't fit in the drawers is now clutter free :ACC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
As much as I would like the de-cluttering to continue apace i have not been so well today so maybe in a bit I'll go and try and be brutal with what i have and make sure all items i'm keeping are suitable - as in - will be worn, suit me and that i love. Is tough as there are things i've literally kept and cared for for years.
In money news i really need to cut back the spending - all has been essential need rather than want but it all mounts up and i'd rather be chucking it at debt mountain
Hope everyone is wellCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi all! I really need to post more often but there is just soo little time in the day and I am often - as now - very tired with much to do. Has been a week of work, work and MS's so the debt is being reduced slowly but surely. Am hugely tired right now though and would love to have a long long sleep but instead have just done the housework and am now trying to be focused on ways of raising money. The trouble is when I get a bit tired like this I can take my eye off the ball a little. As in earlier I nipped to the supermarket - I had done a very small shop this week which kept the spends way down - and £30 later I left the supermarket today taking the total weekly shop to £50
In some ways its not soo bad as all were offers and apart from 1 80p indulgent item which I will thoroughly enjoy.
I need to be thinking "if i don't buy that thats £2 off the debt..." but sometimes this just goes right out the window. Last week I was buying cheap fruit (Woo! for low cost essentials!) and as I went round I was consciously thinking about buying only what was needed. Then after that I popped into another shop that I often look in when I'm at this supermarket - about once every few months and there was a huge closing down sale on - all thoughts of keeping hold of my money went out the window. £40 later and laden with goodies I left the shop. I then felt a bit bad as if I had not gone in I wouldn't have spent £40. All the items I bought were 80% off the original retail price though and all will be used but gah
