It's £194 for house-keeping for a single person with no children...things like alcohol and cigarettes aren't seen as essential if that's what's bumping up the cost.
Hi Tech2, please don't suggest incurring further credit to make a preference payment...that's even more serious than preferring a creditor the person's own money.0 -
I realise tesco metro cost more... but the nearest big supermarket is quite a drive away and TBH I have to buy my food daily rather than weekly as I tend to binge on it all in one go.... but thats another problem......:o
ok thanks guys I realise noone has the answer ... the food bit is the least of my problems its the loan issue thats really what I wanted to sort out..0 -

If you follow the link FYP gave you
http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
fill it in, format to MSE and then copy and paste here then some one will check it for you.
If you have eating issues it may be worth a visit to the Dr's to see if you can get any help via counceling etc.
As for the loan I think that if asked you say exactly what you have told us then you will be fine.hello:)
sorry What i mean is, if OR asks any questions regarding why there was 181 coming out of my account before bankruptsy, I was going to admit the loan with dad but my dad will say 'on the record' that he will now continue paying it. (hes not of course, doesnt have the funds) but to the OR this should look like I now have nothing to do with the loan. off the record of course i still have to pay him back as he still has to make the payments to lloyds. (rememeber the loan is in dads name!)BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Would it be a problem if you did some batch cooking and put it in the freezer? You can answer that to yourself if you don't want to post the reply.

Don't you pay gas/elec/water/council tax?

Did you put down the loan that your dad is paying on there? If so your deficit is only £122 so I would urge you to speak to one of the debt charities like CCCS, CAB or National Debtline. You can find their contact details in TigerFeet's signature. They will go through all your options with you. You have relatively good salary, you could clear that debt without resorting to bankruptcy. That will leave other options open to you later in life. Its worth exploring anyway.
