I think, for a little while, I need some head clearing time and am going to take some time out of MSE. I need to re-connect with the outside world a bit, I've got far too sucked in to the world of my laptop generally and it's becoming part of my ever increasing insular world that I can't step outside of.

I'll be back and I may well lurk, but for now I'll give a little and a :wave: and will see what is going on 'out there'.

This is the best news I have heard in AGES! (Not that you are staying away but that you have finally dislodged the lodger)

I do agree about getting away from the laptop-I have to force myself to do the same, but dont stay away totally, just limit the time. The support will be of great help to you now.

I agree BB, I very easily get sucked into the world of my laptop but put a time limit on it each day and stick to it. I think everyone here will be a great support to you. You know Im only a short car trip away if you ever need anything xx

Well done BB - it is hard when you've been in a "relationship" for a long time, whatever form that relationship takes.

I was with my ex for 17 years when I finally decided to leave, looking at the reasons singularly they didn't look like much of reason for leaving but when I thought about everything that had gone on & linked it all together, I took a deep breath (& a bit of planning ) & went for it, I had anger, then tears, then "if you leave I kill myself", abuse & loads other things to ridiculous to mention.

It is hard at first when you used to having a second opinion & having to consider someone else (even if they don't consider you) but it's also great doing what you want, not having to suppress your feelings & having to defer to someone else, when inside you’re screaming no, that’s not what I want !
