Burlesque Babe bid to stay debt free in 2010

as part of my claim with the solicitors I said that I was aching too much to be able to sit to work on AQA the weekend after my accident - which was true. I could have earned around £80-£100 so I have claimed for it. What a palava - I was asked for 2 years accounts and my last 2 tax returns as proof of income. I sent the 2 tax returns but said as it's such a small amount I don't keep formal accounts, just bank statements. They then queried why I earned loads more in the financial year 07-08 than 08-09. I explained that in 07-08 it was my sole income at one point and then I got a part time job and was also using some redundancy money (I have no idea why that is relevant!). They then asked for wage slips, evidence of hours etc . I explained that we don't get wage slips, the money just goes into my account and I can work when I want but it's usually at weekends as it is busier and obviously when I'm not at my salaried job during the week. I offered blacked out bank statements as proof of income not thinking they'd bother for such a small amount of money as they have my last 2 tax returns.
They'd like blacked out copies of my bank statements please, just for £80 worth of the claim. How mad is that?!"Stay Wonky":D

BB - I'm sure most of the time they put all these hurdles in the way & most people just think "I can't be bothered" & end up not claimingDon't Take Life too Seriously - Nobody gets out alive :rotfl:0

At least they are doing a thorough job now though, probably because they will get asked for the paperwork later....pain though! OH has a date for his court case, sometime in July that will be 16 months after the accident...no sign of any money, Fcuking rediculous!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

blimey Sal.......that's a long time. They've said it will be around 6-9 months in total and they think it's fairly straight forward. See what happens I guess though really. Can't remember if I've said but they are sending me to a chiropractor early next month. I'm going to make a list of how I physically feel and how it's affected me since. I've really noticed a difference in that I can't sit for long now and I sit on one side all the time, I feel fidgety and lots of other stuff that is how I was about 5 years ago - and I was working part time in the office and then part time at home because the Occy Health doctor didn't feel I should be full time at my desk. I have tablets in all the old places I used to a few years ago and I'm steaming through them at a rate of knots, in fact I need to get some more soon.

they settle the car write off bit first - hoping to get an offer any day now and then enter into the to-ing and fro-ing to get it raised. At that point I'll have the hire car for 7 more days and then will have to give it back.
The claim is for my back being re-injured,prescription charges, the mileage covered looking for a car and the other bits and pieces. That bit will take around 6-9 months they think."Stay Wonky":D
