lol - nice idea but I really do need someone who knows their mechanics and he does know them  More curt words about another 10pm arrival last night and another night of him sleeping on the sofa all night because he fell asleep an hour later. He has said he wants to go to the garage after they shut tonight with a couple of torches to look it over whilst they're shut. Really can't see much point in it personally but I'll go along with it!
Had a nightmare last night. Short version:
Phoned for pizza
gave card number over phone (debit)
declined - twice
paid by CC (whoops - had the cash in my purse) to sort it
45 minutes of call to bank to find out why
4 people spoken to
1 telephone banking number ordered that I didn't even know I needed to be able to speak to a human being at Abbey
much stress because I thought it must be something fraudlent going on and they'd stopped my card (lots of money in there though !)
passed from useless person to automated system to useless person back to main menu to useless person to another automated system.
Turns out it was the settings on the machine in the shop for customer not present transactions and there's nothing wrong with my card and nothing fraudulent/horrible has happened. 45 minutes to get this far!!!
VERY unhappy with how long it took to be able to speak to a person who wasn't talking from a script/passed me onto useless automated sytems/gave me duff phone numbers to call/wouldn't talk to me without a telephone banking number/just chucked me back onto the automated press 1 for banking system etc."Stay Wonky":D

ooooooooh heck. There's a car for sale at the same garage. I've always wanted one since I worked in Ireland 10 years ago and used to go to the Japanese car auction each week opposite where I worked and stare longingly after seeing them lined up after coming off the boat from Japan.....I thought it was a manual and have just been scrolling past it for the last day or so....it's an automatic.......it's an even less sensible choice than the golf convertible...until recently all were japanese imports and Mitsubishi weren't allowed to stock parts and so it was a 6 week wait for stuff....now Mitsubishi are a parts stockist..........oooooh heck........
What is it with me and liking vaguely sporty, but not widely sold and slightly off beat cars? Golf convertible, Ford Cougar...........
Mitsubishi FTO.............................."Stay Wonky":D

mad as it sounds though - there's a definite pattern to the styling I like....here's my old Honda as a comparison...
The Cougar
and now the FTO....
But I still really like the golf.................arggh............5 weeks of nothing worth seeing and now a choice!!!"Stay Wonky":D
