Hi Radish and Dans mum, its like going full circle, from child to 'parent of the parent' isn't it.
I feel a bit silly after last nights little 'outburst' don't really know why I got so emotional, I blame the wine and 80's nostalgic music!
Anyway, I am sorry:o. Thank you everyone for your support and kicks up the bum...just what I needed to pull myself together:):)
I really must got off my big backside and do some tidying up, before going help Mum sort out her craft room......we may get lost in there, its chocker block and i'm not sure even she knows exactly what is in there!

I coudn't finish writing what I was going to say as my eyes kept filling up with tears (oops there off again)
Dad is 77 and in very good health, so it was just such a shock to think that he is not invincible
Get in that craft room with your mum and have a good giggle, bet she has things that you made when you were at school.
I was devasted when my mum threw out my paper robin (made aged 6). The christmas tree is just not the same ......................:rotfl:Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

She told me today that she had a lovely day with me on Monday despite part of being spent at a hospital appointment...it was nice to hear, even though I think shes a bit batty!:)

:jHappy Birthday TPA :j
Read this and thought of you:
Getting Better
You’re not getting older,
“Just better,”
that’s the verse.
But let’s be kind of honest,
When you age,
You just get worse.
Your neckline sags,
Your eyelids bag,
Your posture gets the bends.
The one thing you can count on
Is the kindness of your friends!

Have a great day!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Happy Birthday!!
and dont apologise being down about your mum, it is a shock and takes some getting used to when someone we depend on gets ill and we have to look after them, the role reversal can feel quite unerving, but enjoy the time you have with her- she sounds lovely!0
