Taka had a code to buy it for £5.50. Stop being a tightwad. :p

Sorry i missed your birthday and you getting down. I'm glad to hear it was a lovely day.

Sounds like the dog thought he was giving you a birthday treat too. What a PITA.
  • But thats £5.50 that could be spent on [STRIKE]wine[/STRIKE]paying off the mortgage:rotfl:

But you shouldn't be drinking the wine you naughty thing you. You are meant to be the role model in this dieting malarcky. If you lose it too, there is not a hope for me. ;)

Seriously, i know i have only done it twice but it is rather good and really worth £5.50 of anyones English pounds. Go on. You know you want to. :D

I didn't say I was going to drink it, just add it to my collection;):p

Has anyone been watching 'The Boss is Coming to Dinner'? I'm liking it, it's a bit of a twist on 'Come Dine with Me'.

I am really tired tonight, not sure why but have been feeling really light headed, got up for a wee (I'm getting old you see!) in the middle of the night, got back into bed and felt a bit faint when I laid down, today I felt fine in the morning, however as the day has gone on I have more and more light headed..strange. Perhaps it is a lack of alcohol:p

Am very excited as a sold an item on ebay for £20 that had listed three times previously:eek:

I am going to take a leaf out of Hypnos diary an do some de-cluttering. I am going to try and get rid of at least 5 items per day:eek:. So to start with today I will declutter the ebay item and four other things....yet to be found:o Anything extra that comes into the house has to be offset with a further 'de-clutter' item...wish me luck!

Aw thanks Jellie, i'm loving your user name by the way.

I almost forget, we got £36 worth of Tesco vouchers in the post yesterday, should get a few more in the next few days:j. Cannot beleive that thy are doing the double up deals but it is not valid on wine this time...was hoping to stock up on Cava (for Christmas of course;))

I am starting the Curves diet next week (need to fully understand it and get the right food in first). I am a little concerned as it is a very well reasearched diet, however the first week only allows you 1200 calories which really is not a lot for someone of my size:eek:. The following three weeks are 1500 each then two weeks of 2200 then back to the begining again:eek:. Its all about keeping your matabolism on its toes. However, funnily enough there is no wine/alcohol allowance for the first 4 weeks:eek::eek:. I am going to give it a shot......but.....how on earth will I manage four weeks with no wine:eek::eek:

  • Okay, so far I have de-cluttered
    • two dog chewed fisbies
    • one item from ebay will leave for the PO tomorrow
    • one twix
    • 4 items of clothing in the charity bag
    • 8 plastic bottles (don't ask:o)
    • two glasses of wine
One the money front, I have decided to round up our regular monthly mortgage payment to £500 (currently paying £453 I think!) I know we normally just put any extra into savings to offset but my brain needs to see the gross figure going down quicker. Once the regular savers have all finished I will up the payment by a further £500 per month. Must ring the mortgage compnay tomorrow to arrange this. Must also rmember to tell hubby of [STRIKE]my[/STRIKE] our intentions.:p

Big decision made re the extra job I do Septmeber to May one evening per week, I have decided to give it up. I will do a few weeks at the start of term to get the new person into her stride but then thats it...over. Time with my Mum and getting fit is more important, the problem with the job was it was teaching adults within my own profession and took up an awful lot of extra time other than the evening in question. Sure the money will be missed but its not as if we are on our uppers. I also have to occasional weekend work to fall back back, which pays well and once its done, its done, go home and forget about it:)

Managed to pick up an MS for Sunday in a small supermarket just one mile from home:j. Thats the way to do it!!

You won't let anything get in your way when you set your mind to it TPA, despite the personal sacrifices involved. Well done :T.

Good decision on the job hon, you need down time & time with your mum x
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

True to form i'm already failing on my challenge of getting rid of the clutter, I did'nt do any de-cluttering yesterday but dd bring a set of drawers home that Mum no longer needs (from her craft room of course!). I have left them in the car so they don't count as 'one in' yet:rotfl:. Will have to double on with todays efforts to make up for the failing Friday.

I did however contact the bank yesterday and have upped the mortgage payments by £141.55 per month, this will work two fold; if interest rates do go up we will already be used to paying a higher amount anyway and the capital be lowered by £1,000 every other month, therefor working on my brain as a good incentive to keep saving!! Any extras will still go into savings and used as the 'offset'. Ended up upping to £600 rather than £500 to keep the momentem going!

Just had my Amazon card bill, it has come to the end of its 0% so thats £509 I need to find this month, as well as the paying for the holiday:eek:...emmm perhaps it wasn't the best time to up the mortgage payments! Most other funds are accounted for in 'regular savers'..oh well some creative accounting may be needed.
