Well done on the results of your weigh in. That is a great first week. :D

  • WoHoo money alert:eek: For today only Quidco have got an offer where if you sign up to Jackpot Joy and deposit £10 you get £25 cashback. Signed up for myself and won £11 (playing Deal or no deal) then hubby signed up and won £15. So thats a total of £26 won and £50 cashback minus the intial £10 each deposit - we are £56 up:j(as long as everything tracks as it should):j:money:

Did two mystery shops today, one bank visit where I was so sussed as a mystery shopper, (I had to ask about a posh account that is only available to those who earn over £45k:rotfl:) and one email - easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I have picked up lots of pharmacy jobs for next week and a small supermarket.
Also have two booked for Saturday, one to be done before my 'proper job extra shift' and one after:D

Work have agreed to pay me the money they owe me tomorrow and I have emailed a complaint, getting wages wrong most months is a problem that needs sorting.
But......hubby has just found me a me laptop, £426 whoops:eek:. In fairness this one does have a tendancy not to type what I tell it to, and the keys regualarly get stuck, not good for mystery shopping:eek:. Anyway I will be able to offset the cost against my tax as it will mainly be used for mystery shopping.

Foodwise I have had a good day, I even managed to avoid the temtation of a Greggs cheese and onion pasty:o Was tempeted BUT I have to be good or no alcohol for me on the weekend. This is how I am supporting myself, if I am good all week I can have a bottle of Cava on the weekend:p. Don't knock it, it seems to working at the moment.:rotfl:

Cheers, I'm on the wine!! Well, tis the weekend!! :rotfl:

Btw, thought you were having cava this weekend?! :D

You seem to be going great guns with the MS, got me thinking whether I should give it a go?? Saw a local MS vacancy on the Job Centre website the other day but chickened out of going for it :o I think I would just look guilty going in somewhere, I'd probably look like a shoplifter!! :rotfl:

Chink chink. Wine here too. Bad diet day. Back to it properly tomorrow me thinks.

sweetserendipity the mystery shopping is not too bad. I have just completed my 3rd job today. My 1st one was a bit of a nightmare. I had to have my blood pressure checked and it was sky high. Probably not as i have high blood pressure but from the shock of the mystery shop. I hope. :D It is a bit weird, but good fun. Or maybe that is just me as it means that my DH gets to watch the [STRIKE]terrors[/STRIKE] little darlings aka DS1 and 2 for half an hour or so while i get on with it. Bliss.

TPA do you end up paying more tax because of your job and mystery shopping?

As mystery shopping is my only job I manage to keep well below the threshold but when I was working, I seemed to end up paying much of it back to the tax man, even with all the allowances.

At the moment I only seem to get offered jobs that are in my county and my county is a large one; not good for a non-driver!

    Afternoon everyone:wave:

I have been very naugty re. the diet, yesterday was a bad today, today I am back on the wagon:p

We have finally done our budgets and our current offset is 65.04% so a drop of around 5%, not too bad considering we are now in possession of new windows and a gorgeous kitchen:p. EDIT: just looked back, that takes us back to about the same figure we had in January..ops. We still need £27,677 to pay off the mortgage in full, hopefully this should still be 'doable' by my 40th birthday, bearing in mind within the normal monthly mortgage payment we pay off about £300 from the capital, we need to find about £700 extra or so each month until my 40th:eek:

Floxxie, I will be paying more tax but with the allowances for printing, paper and mileage etc. it is not too bad, the hardest bit is filling in the tax return:mad:
I like to keep my 'proper job' seperate and pay the tax monthly for that, whereas the MSing is paid once yearly.

sweet.....erm, I did have Cava aswell! Re. mystery shopping, you soon grow thick skin and don't care about loking silly!

I wouldn't worry about the little slip on the diet. Me too. I have been bad since Friday. Better today, but i am tired so just indulged in a smoothie and a fairy cake. I'm hoping all the ironing i did negated it. Back to normal tomorrow? I'm sure we can't have undone all of last weeks hard work. ;) At least i hope not.

I can't believe you have had all that work done and only slipped back 4 months. Just shows what we can achieve with the interest as low as it is. You'll soon catch back up and have a lovely new kitchen and windows too. And at least all the mess is done and you don't have to go through it in a few months. Lots of positives if we choose to find them.
