You go taka. I need to get more motivated like that. I know yesterday i walked 2 extra miles i would normally drive as DH needed my car.

My trouble is i cannot be bothered. The kids and DH like stodge like pies, pizza and pasta. I already sometimes have to make a meal for the kids then one for us later. I need to look at the WW no count booklet my sister gave me again. I'm sure i could tweak our menu plan a bit and do that, but nothing that requires me to count and mess about.

Yesterday was really hot here, and i realised that my bulge was unsightly in my current clothes, so i need to join you ladies or buy the next size up. Looks like i need to be joining you. I am going to try and get on the trampoline with the kids every day at least as a starter. I might set myself a goal of losing a stone before we go away at the end of June. If i tell you guys i will have to do it.

Can I join too :o I know I've been saying that I need to lose since .....ummm.... forever but I'll be abridemaid in September and I can't seem to get motivated!

Perhaps doing the AF days again may help too?

...but of course I'll have to drink the wine I've got before comitting to anything......:D

Does AF mean alcohol free? I don't know if i could fully commit to that one.

Too nice on a hot day to have a shandy or a glass of wine. Although it is a total waste of calories isn't it.

Looks like we have ourselves a fat club then. I just weighed myself and the damage is 12 stone 3. I know i need to get nearer 11 again, so that is my aim. And i am another round the 5foot 6 mark so i know i can disguise it in winter but the summer is rapidly catching me up.

    We can do it girls.

:o:eek:'fess up time for me - 14st 4.5lbs, this week, that's after losing just over a stone :o:eek:, 5'6 so way too heavy. Have given up on the 'grow 6 inches and you won't be overweight' option so SW is finally doing it for me. I rebel against authority  (which I'm sure comes as no surprise ;)) so not being 'allowed' things doesn't work, neither does counting syns really. I just stick to eating healthily & lots of what I know I can have & I ignore what I can't have or would need to count points for. I also try not to think 'I've been good/bad' but instead think 'I've eaten healthily/not so healthily' as that tends to motivate me rather than shame me. No alcohol helps (none for 3 weeks :A) (although off to Spain in 5 days so will have a few there).

I like seeing my weight recorded in my SW book but prefer my spreadsheet and block of cells I'm changing from red to green each week. Plus the online progress which graphs it.

Next target is to reduce BMI so that I am 'only' overweight and not obese :o.

Well done for starting TPA, and we're here to [STRIKE]nag you [/STRIKE]cheer you on :T:T:T

OMG all this wonderful support, you lot are fantastic. :o:A

I have been thinking about what Taka said about having a goal, I would love to be really daring, so here goes, WHEN I'M FORTY I WOULD LIKE TO DO A PARACHUTE JUMP FOR CHARITY .

My Mum has Parkinson’s disease and I would love to do something that could raise money for the Parkinson’s Society’ the local group has given both Mum and the family a lot of support over the past few years.:)

So my things to do by the time i'm 40: Pay off the mortgage, be slim enough to do a parachute jump, have a fabulous holiday (Las Vegas?). Well I have 26 months to D day

Okie dokie, I need to lose at least 7 stone, that is 98lb, so I might as well round it off to 100lb which means I 'only' have to lose 1lb a week to get to my goal-my god put like that it looks so easy-long term but then its a change of lifestyle rather than a 'diet' as such. This is so sad, but I am actually excited by the prospect :j
So current weight 250.5lb (17 stone 12.5 lb) target weight 150.5lb..oh sod it target weight 10 stone 7 lbs so that would be 147 lb, 103 lb to lose over 112 weeks, I CAN DO THIS (I realise that 10 stone 7 lb would be mortifyingly heavy for some of you but i'm sure this would be an achievable, sustainable goal for me and that’s what matters.)

Have I missed anyone out, or put anyone in that doesn’t want to play?? My weigh in day is a Wednesday but we can update the chart any day that suits – I don’t think we all need to weigh on the same day, do we? (confused smiley anyone?)

Its funny how we visualise people isn't it, my vision of GG was: Female, tall (6 foot?) early forties, size 12, very smart both in dress and brain matter. Very 'together'-does not suffer fools.

Taka, Female, long dark hair, size 10, very trendy, 5 foot 8 ish, 30's

SML, Female, long blondish hair, size 10/12 , 5 foot 7, fit, classic clothing, late 20's.

    God, i really hope I haven't insulted anyone:o

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:If I was 6' I wouldn't need to be on a diet :). Am in 40's (but wrong end), now size 16 :o. Am starting to dress smarter now I feel I look a bit better. I am actually v bright, but manage to hide it (unintentionally :rotfl:) most of the time. Just waiting for menopause to strike so I have an excuse for scattiness. And hair is grey (which I am happy with - is v trendy these days ;)). I do suffer fools quite gladly, what I don't have a lot of time for is people who complain about their lot but don't / won't do anything about it.

tbh TPA I thought you would be a lot heavier than you are, from what you have said before. & you have longish brown hair, wavy, with a hint of auburn.

The others you have described pretty much as I thought (not that I'd be sad enough to think about it you understand ).

My target is to get to 12 stone - nowhere near as ambitiuous as yours. I have very few wrinkles at the mo and want to keep it that way so need to keep hold of some fat :rotfl:Monday weigh in for me.

Long dark hair... dark, but not so long - chin length at the mo but I am trying to grow it
Size 10 - only in my dreams :rotfl: ... it begins with a 2... :o
Very trendy - Ermmmm least trendy person ever... :rotfl::rotfl:
    5 foot 8 ish - yep :T
    30s - yep :T

I plan to weigh myself on a Sunday morning as its always my least rushed morning. My eventual goal is to be 11 st 7 which would be a BMI of 25. The amount I have to loose is more one of my friends weighs... :o

TPA - You could combine the 2 by doing do a charity jump in Vegas! :p Well done on setting a goal! I almost did a skydive in New Zealand but there wasn't anymore space that day after everyone had got me all psyched up to do it! Been too chicken to even think about it since then! :rotfl: Good for you! :T How about a trip to an indoor skydive place for inspirarion/motivation after loosing X lbs?
