No spend days are fantastic - well done!!! So far I dont think I have managed even one no spend day :o

Also wanted to ask what you use your Tesco points for? I am a bit of an addict too but I am really struggling to spend them. I have about £1000 worth of deals vouchers. In the past we used them on holidays but now with two little ones travel just doesnt really happen. We also used some at the beginning of this year to join the gym BUT the gym was sold and they closed the swimming pool down so we asked for a refund which rather nicely they gave us in cash - £500 so financially we really scored on that one. We both have tesco credit cards that we shop on (and pay off every month) so we get a fair whack of points every quarter. It is beginning to annoy me that I cant spend them  Any suggestions???

I hardly ever have a NSD as I food shop everyday. I got rid off my freezer to save on electricity:D However, we do still have a TD and a DW so we're not saints.

Well done on the NSDs. I am going away with work for a couple of weeks which will probably hurt the bank balance but I hoping to have many NSDs when I get back.

Previously we have used our vouchers for: RAC cover, Christmas/Birthday gifts (mainly magazine subscriptions as you can send this to any address), days out Longleat was my favourite, nice with two little ones. They do offers in store sometimes, such as, double the value of your vouchers if you spend them on clothes, gardening, toys and wine(:o), they often get used on wine! I have also used them to book a nice hotel room, would never normaly pay the prices asked but it is nice to have bit of luxury every now and again - especially when its 'technically free'.
If you look on line they have far more deals to offer than in the booklet they send through.

I have to say the magazine subscriptions have always gone down very well with the recipients.

Anyway I will be back later, wish me luck I am about to take the dog to the vets for his booster jabs, only problem, he dosn't like vets and tends to nip them:eek:

  • The new vet was so fantastic, dog still petrified but he didn't bite anyone!

Went to Tesco on the way home and spent a rediculous three figure sum:eek:. I will update more tomorrow as I am really tired now. Lets just say I WILL NOT be shopping with hubby anymore:mad:.

Had to spend half an hour rearranging the freezer to get everything in!

  • OK, time to 'fess up'.

Last nights Tesco bill came to £138.87:eek:. £10 of which will come from hubbies personal spends, however the rest was food and toiletries:eek:. I never want to go shopping with hubby again. I agree the freezer is now bursting at the seems but ..................... ah well, whats done is done!

Had to fill up with diesel, that was another £46.12 and the vet bill was £37.26, good job yesterday was payday for me!

I am hoping for a restful weekend. I have eight MSs booked for next week and one extra shift (not all on th same day this time!)
