Birdie could you not just close your eyes and throw the boxes in the bin without even looking inside them?

Good idea but... What if I throw away something that I really really need...??? Or forgot about but get all excited when I find it! I'm useless as sorting things, OH hates it because I somehow end up with more stuff at the end!

Hehe Poddle, I've always sided with my Mum! For years after I was born when my Dad went to the boozy lunch do the guys would always ask about me!

Set yourself the challenge for sorting one box per week or weekend for the next month Birdie, use it or loose it!

Good idea... could take more than a month though!

Actually I'm going to have to sort out under the bed soon since our new one is being delivered next week and it's a divan so no under bed 'throwing stuff under the bed in the hope that it'll sort itself out' space!

Lara, how're things coming along with your house? Sounds like a good deal! And when do you go to Uganda? That sounds super exciting! My OH is just applying for a 3-6 month sabbatical with the engineer equivalent of Doctors Without Borders in South Africa!

Dinah, well done for not giving into a huge piece of cake - sounds yum, whose recipe is it?

Poddle I can't believe you got a scar from the caesarean! That's harsh, the doctor sounds like he had a few too many gin and tonics! The house stuff is progressing well, we have signed the contract and transferred the deposit, and the vendor has just had her new little baby earlier this week. So hopefully next week we will get a date to move - which we are hoping will be the first week of March (as the vendor needs a little while with her new little one before they move). We are really excited!

    Good luck with packing Zig.

I am off to Uganda for a conference on 20th March for a week, which will be really cool. Hopefully I can sort out lots of things for my main period of fieldwork, which will be starting in Jan next year. I'll be living in Uganda for about 8 months. I am a mixture of terrified/excited, just working really hard on college stuff to try to be a ready as I can. What your OH is doing sounds really great - if he gets accepted will you go too? Or at least some amazing holidays!

Cinny - definitely post a pic of your hair! And what are you wanting to do at college? Is it a business type course or have I just made that up?!

Accounts, so I can take over that side of the family company and be RICH! :D

At least you tried with the No7 stuff, and it's better to have stuff you're going to use over stuff that'll just be gathering dust!

Fingers crossed those DVDs are worth something Dinah! Sounds like you're getting back into the old school money making ways with MusicMagpie!

Hope everyone has a nice afternoon! I'm decluttering too, sorting out my makeup draws as they're totally messy.

What are you planning on doing in Uganda Lara? I'm sure it'll be amazing but I don't think I could go away to somewhere like that for so long on my own- you're very brave in my opinion!

    Afternoon everyone,

Thank you for all the kind comments with regards to the sentencing, it was very hard to hear it being such a short sentence, but unfortunatly theres nothing i can do about it. I just have to keep on trying to remember the good times. Had a good old cry lastnight, but OH has been great as usual.

Have just been trying to distract myself today. Done lots of tidying, housework etc... also got paid today so need to sort out our budget, have added some more money to the savings to thats creeping up nicely.

It's nice to know that your OH is being so good Flower, I'm glad he's supporting you. On a lighter note at least all of your housework is getting done, you can always come and sort my flat out if you feel like a job! ;)
